We had just won the war and yet we had lost it all in the blink of an eye. All that was left of it was a blank envelope that sat alone at a table waiting to be read by someone. I averted my eyes from it not wanting to know what it held inside for me but at the same time I knew that it held the answers to all my questions. My chest felt heavy and my mind didn't know what to think of it all. "Open it up and see what it says." Someone said from the group of wizards that had formed around me and the table. I nodded and took a step closer to the note reaching my hand out to pick it up I stole a quick glance at Erza. She gave me a sad look and I suddenly understood what was waiting for me in the letter. I picked it up and opened the letter with a heavy heart as tears filled my eyes.

"Where's Lucy?" I asked my voice almost softer then a whisper. Suddenly the guild was filled with life again as everyone started to whisper and exchange glances. Then someone looked at me and frowned a bit. "Didn't she come back with us to the guild?" Everyone started to look aorund in the crowed to see if she was among us any where but no one found Lucy. Now I knew that I had to read the letter even thought I really didn't want to. As I read the note my heart started to ach more then it all ready did. "What is it?" Gray asked me but I couldn't bring my self to answer him right away. It wasn't until he tears started to sting my face that I was able to speak a little. "She's gone...for good." Was all I could get out.
