From the beginning, when light filled the endless void.

The one race that survived through it all were humans. Humans are weak, greedy, kind and emotional .But they possessed the very thing other races lacked. Adaptation, the ability to survive through anything. 

Even when on the brink of extinction, somehow they always survive. Humans are tenacious but also the most evilest beings.Their hearts are born of the nature of their environment and their souls tainted by sins. 

Humans grew till nations were born, from the united states alliance to asia, China, india, russia, france and germany. 

Each nation was abundant in warfare, resources and technology. 

But nothing could change the greed humanity bore in their hearts.

Even when they could leave in peace, they resulted in endless chaos.

Evil wasn't born from nothing, it started from the first bad intention birthed by them. 

Everything came crashing down when the first great war arrived. People died from diseases, hunger, plagues, bombs until the government formed a peace treaty, to stop the endless deaths and damages before everything was burnt to ash.

But regardless, the damage was already done. 

While rebuilding the rubbles and ruin they caused, everything began to change. 

Ominous signs appeared in each nation one after the other, from blood red rain, to sudden disappearances.

And the worst of all was the appearance of a gate. A metal door which looked like it was forged by a greater existence towering into the sky. 

As people began to take action against it, it began.

Words in form of symbols appeared in the sky, saying:

[A new era will begin]

One which would ensure that humans received the punishment they deserved. 

And when the time finally arrived, it began. 

hordes of gates appeared all around the world and from them nightmares in the form of flesh descended. They were spawned by gates.

In ways that could only be described as abominations. In the end, they were named dread spawns. 

The chaos that unfolded on that day was impossible to forget. And...

That day was named, 

The Advent of the Dread Gates

It was not an apocalypse nor was it some cosmic change. 

It was just a judgement. 

One that could never be changed, all they could do was try to survive. 

It was hard to survive, let alone plot survival. 

And when blood soaked the ground till it turned unrecognizable, screams echoed in the air and tears began to dry. Those who could help returned.

 Ruined Souls

 They were not heroes nor were they gods. But those who were traumatized and dragged into greater hell, and when one person rose from the dust they were left in, others followed. 

They were called seekers, they were powerful, able to surpass the limits that normal humans couldn't.

Some were swordsmen, others were able to defy the laws of the world.

Yet, even they couldn't fully stop it , what brought those things to their world. The Hex, it wasn't a system or some god. It was a being, one which brought upon judgement to the sins humans created. The gates were closed and vanished, the seekers remained and rebuilt. 

The hex stayed and the abyss consumed the destroyed parts of the world. 

Still, there were eyes watching that world. 

It wasn't just deaths and pain, it was the judgement of humans. Still, the judgement was never fair , some were innocent, others could only watch. 

Still, some of them were able to survive the wave. And as...

Humans, how they've always been, rebuilt again, this time with the help of these seekers, they feared them. Regardless, some began plotting how to use them. As nations were rebuilt without fear of the hex. 

And in a single moment, chaos descended once more.

Seekers weren't just given power, they had to work for it, through Trials. Tests granted by the hex.

All every seeker could say about them was that they were nothing compared to that day.

It was truly hell, because every thing they experienced was far inexpressable.

Regardless, those who were chosen became seekers. And those who survived more trials became awakened who could grow for greater power.

Just like how every thing had ranks, they did too.

They rose in rank, clearing trials.

And those who failed, even just once, didn't just die, their souls birthed new doors. One incomparable to the great advent. 

This time destruction was reduced, but death still came.The goal wasn't to overcome it, it was to survive. It was always impossible from the start, but as they grew and as more chaos enveloped those who had yet to be chosen, a single thought rested upon them, as more and more changes occurred.

It was.....

 The true judgement had never truly begun.
