We were the greatest- the mightiest of empires. All before us trembled at our stature and the less evolved had lain baffled before the miracle of cold fusion and the megalithic structures built around stars all across every galaxy in our local cluster. We had harnessed power akin to deities within the eyes of the pitiful creatures unable to even combat the most basic of crises.

The only logical next step was to become those gods they feared us to be. Many of us have, yet here we sit idly in resignation to our fate. Perhaps we had grown too comfortable with the bliss of divinity- too lax in our judgements of our peers. We had found that perfect miracle of utopia and had become something beyond biology.

Now it is gone in the hands of traitors- our one holy source that granted us strength. The very twins who had used this power for themselves had deemed we were not worthy.

Hypocrites, you are.

I do not know if you still live, nor where you have gone to.

But, to us you have become like demons.

The gods have fallen.

Our empire burns.
