Cartel Wars

Bloody Sunset

Bloody Sunset

Jun 22, 2023

The dawn over the city of Coltzin was tinged with an intense orange hue, but there was no beauty in that sunrise. It was a dark omen of the violence and destruction that lay ahead. A strategic city with its main avenue traversing the entire country of Mexico had become a dangerous and contested place.

On one side, in the northern part of the city, the invading United States army had stationed itself with determination. Meanwhile, in the south, the weakened Mexican army fought to make its way towards the city. The streets were blocked by the criminal group known as the Sons of Coltzin, who had ruled that territory for far too long. In this place, the authorities had lost their influence, unable to enter and exert their authority.

As the day progressed, clashes erupted on the streets and main avenues, leaving a trail of blood and suffering among civilians, soldiers, and drug traffickers. Even notorious drug lords like Diego "The Enigma" Torres and Andrea "The Tigress" Morales had lost their lives in the heat of battle. Despite this, the advance of the U.S. army was slow, as many of their soldiers lacked combat experience, barely young adults who had come of age.

Cruelty and bloodshed reached unimaginable limits. .45 caliber bullets from the U.S. army tore apart the bodies of children who defended their city alongside their families, while the elderly fought valiantly by their side. On that day, brutality was merciless, and suffering seemed to know no end.

But just as the sun began to set on the horizon, the sky turned ominously scarlet, foretelling what was to come. Dozens of Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk bombers dropped massive payloads that, in the twilight, were almost imperceptible. As if sprinkling an invisible liquid from above, clouds of death spread across the city.

Suddenly, silence gripped everything, and the sky erupted in flames and explosions. No one was prepared for such horror. Surprise and despair overcame those in the city. When the fire finally subsided and the smoke dissipated, the scene was nightmarish. A sea of corpses extended everywhere—U.S. soldiers who had no time to react, drug traffickers who met their fate, and civilians trapped in the deadly dance.

While some fought to extinguish the consuming flames, others desperately tried to awaken their loved ones. The sight of bodies lying in the streets was unforgettable, silent witnesses to the disappearance of so many lives. Collapsed buildings buried entire families, compressing their bodies and leaving others trapped under the rubble, fighting for each breath.

That day, the orange dawn had marked the beginning of an unparalleled nightmare. The city of Coltzin would bear witness and become a victim of the most harrowing devastation. The price paid for generations of sins and government indifference had fallen upon them with a cruelty that overshadowed any imaginable suffering.

A thunderous noise reverberated through the ranks of the "Spartan Task Force," under the command of Commander Gabriel Steele. For the past two days, they had been guarding the central underground tunnels within the city. Just a few hours after the deafening sound, they watched as the mercenaries from the special group "Sigma Falcon" escorted a gray-haired man accompanied by a group of children with synaptic gear towards the central zone. The man's purpose remained a mystery, but he advanced with unwavering determination through the segmented levels of the tunnel labyrinth.

"Take the 'N.E.O.S.' to the lower level, surrounding the central circle," exclaimed the mercenary leader.

In the lower level, where the passageways connected the different tiers and were guarded by the mercenaries, an act of treachery and horror unfolded. The Sigma Falcon group had kidnapped civilians who sought refuge with their children, promising them safety and helicopter evacuation on the fourth level. However, when explosions and chaos shook the city, the mercenaries revealed their true nature.

Without mercy, they mercilessly gunned down both children and adults, bathing the area in blood and cries. However, something extraordinary happened amidst that heart-wrenching massacre. The "N.E.O.S." extended their arms and opened their hands, whispering barely audible words.

Psychic energy emanated from them, and as their blood pooled in a central hollow, the energy intensified in a display of power. A green flash erupted from the first level, and in the blink of an eye, a female figure emerged on her throne. She bore black wings and horns on her forehead. With her imposing presence and latent power, she rose above the desolate panorama of the city in flames. The fire that spread through the streets shaped the silhouette of a demon with a trident and horns on the horizon, as if chaos itself had materialized. Her dark and mysterious presence embodied an ancient and defiant force.

Lilith had been summoned...
