Chosen Ones: Demons Defeat

Chapter 1

So, another. This one’s short I promise. Varzoth looked around at his family and smiled, this was the best life he could ever have gotten. Then he looked down at a sword in his chest, some brave demon had tried and failed to kill him. In fact the demon was still holding onto the sword, and trying to push it in further.

Varzoth smiled, “Only makes this more fun for me!” He grabbed the sword and swung it out, making the still soldier still holding it fly back.

“Varzoth!” He turned to see his girlfriend, Lilith, being circled by a group of guards. “A Little help?” Varzoth switched right into fight mode, and ran to the group of guards he batted some of them away and Lilith cut up the rest of them. “Thanks.” She put her hand on his to try and do a kind gesture, but it was hard for that in his emperor form. 

He went back into his normal form and hugged her, “Of course.”

“You might want to…” Varzoth turned around to see two guards swinging their swords, but before Varzoth could do anything Selene, a young demon they’d saved from a labor camp, batted through them all and cut through one.

“Save the romance for later!” Selene yelled.

Lilith shook her head, and kissed Varzoth on the cheek. “See ya later! Meet up in the throne room!” She yelled to the group entering the castle. They all ran for the door, knowing well that what was behind it was much worse then what was out there. Selene used a fire spell to imbue her scythe with the ability to slice through anything, and cut right through the locks. They all had made it in, and I guess you should know who everyone is.

I am Varzoth Soulrender, the prophet of the group told to be the next in line for emperor. I stole the heart forge to stop the important’s, a group of people planning a mass murder to kill half the continent, from murdering all of the unimportant’s. Lilith Vashati, our combat and planning specialist and my girlfriend I guess I’ll add. She found me when I ran away from the important’s and helped me restore the forge to its former glory. Then we have the smallest guardians of the forge, Malakath Blackfang, Selene Dreadmist, Zaroth Voidbringer, and Baal Ashblood. We found the first three in a labor camp outside of our current base, then we found Baal with the forge. She stole another piece of it, knowing it was being used for terrible deeds. All of us are considered the Guardians of the forge, and our mission is to restore the world to once it was. Without the Important’s.
