The wind brushing past me. The light breeze cooling my sweat covered face. My heart pounding, and my steps in a steady rythem. The green trees slowly going by as I run as fast as I can. The smooth paved side walk constantly repeating it's self. ' late, I can't be late,' my eyes start to water, and my lungs feel as though they are about to burst.
I make it to NorthEnd high in less then a minute before the bell rings.
"H- ha!" I breath as I let my backpack slip of my shoulders, and fall to the ground. " Why the hell am I always so late!" I stand back up, grab my bag and hurry to my home room.
When I get there I walk into an overly cheery room. The walls are covered in posters made from students and the contents range from boring political issues, to what looked like white water rafting. The walls are all a bright yellow. Bookshelves line the back wall. There are about five round tables each with four chairs.
I look around for an open seat and find a table with only one person in the back in a black baggy hoodie. I slowly walk twords that table till I hear a fimiler voice.
"CANNA" I turn around to be tackeld with a bear hug.
"Lafana" I was relieved to see one of my best friends had decided to go to the same school as I did.
"Come on the second bell is about to ring," she said as she grabbed the back of my green vest and dragged me to a table that had two other sitting at it. " Canna, you remember Smith, and bell from preschool right?" The fact is I did in fact they were the only people besides Lafa that I had ever trusted.
"Ya how could I ever forget them!" 'Maybe high school won't be to bad?' but just as I thought that horrible memories crossed through my head.
" Smith! Bell! It's Canna!" Lafa said happily. Lafa's hair had its usual bounce, and Amber shine. I was jealous of it because mine always was limp and had a dull brown color.
"Canna long time no see how are you and how long has it been?" Bell was always the one to start the conversation other then Lafa.
"I am good, and have no idea" I said as I gave a smile. 'If you can consider nervous as hell ok,' I really wanted to go home.
"You've grown," Smith said .
"Ha ha," I laughed. Smith still knew how to make me.
Smith and Bell were like poler opposites, but they were always nice to each other and others. No matter what happened you could count on them to be there for you.
"So what classes did you get?" I wanted to know.
" I have:
Foods first, math, science, and English this semester," Lafa read off her sheet.
" Hey same here!" Bell seemed very. Lafa and Bell were always close.
"I got:
Foods, social studies, gym, and French," Smith read. Everyone then looked at me.
"I got:
Foods, Japanese, science, math," I realized I only had one class with all my friends.
"Hey we all got foods is'nt that great!" Bell said. I smiled, I felt very lucky to have such good friends.
"Hello," the home room teacher walked in. She had curly read hair and wore a dress with a pattern that consisted of purly gekos . 'The magic school buss?'
"Hello class my name is-"
"Miss. Friz!" Some one called out. The class including the teacher started to laugh.
"No miss. Hathheart," miss. Hathheart finally said after she calmed down. "We don't have long until you have to go to your first class but I still hope that we can all have a fun time," the bell went.
All the students flooded out of the room and into the hallways. I stood back with my friends, they seemed to remember that I can't handle big crowds.
When we finally got to our class I noticed some people looked familiar. As we walked to an empty table it finally clicked. All of the people from this class besides my my friends were part of that one year. My biggest secret that I will do anything to keep hidden. If I slip up now my life would be over.
