“ I mean knowing that he can't bear to look at me, let alone touch me. He hasn't touched me in weeks, and it hurts.” You said as tears welled in my eyes. “But?” Kirishima asked, softly trying to be gentle with his words. “But yesterday, it-. It didn't hurt as much. When he purposefully ripped his gaze away from mine, forcing himself not to look at me.” You said as tears began pouring down your face. Out of habit you started pulling on your fingers, counting them in your head. “Doesn't that mean you're slowly learning to live without him?” Kirishima asked, concerned by your emotional state. “No, at least not for me. It means that I'm getting used to the pain and I'm slowly going numb. I- I'm falling back into a really dark place. The icing on top of the cake is that he's the one who pulled me out of that, and he's the person sending me back.”
“I get how you're feeling, but through a trauma too. This is just his way of coping with that pain.” “Yeah well whatever it is, I hope that it works. I hope it was worth losing me in the process.” That was all Bakugo had to hear as he stood leaned up against the wall. Hiding in the shadows of the common room while you completely broke down, in somebody else's arms. It tore him apart to see you hurting so much because of him, but it was even worse that couldn't be the one to help you. To tell you it would be okay, to hold your hand. He couldn't and Kirishima did. His head hung down and his eyes went dark as he stuffed his hands into his pockets walking back upstairs. Is this it? The beginning of the end? He thought to himself, wishing that just a few feet away from you where he stood could be ever so far. He wanted to make thighs right but how could he when he couldn't even manage to look at you without getting the constant reminder that he failed to protect you.
You retreated back to your dorm and stayed there for the rest of the night, Kirishima came back and wanted to check on you but Mine wouldn't let him in. You went to theshowers and cleared your head a bit. When you came back into your room Mina noticed a mark below your left ear in your neck. “Hey, you missed a little spot on your neck.” She said getting up to show you in the mirror. “Right here.” She said pointing to it.” “Oh that's just, an old scar.” You said quickly getting out of the mirror so you didn't have to look at it. “Oh, what's it from?” She asked, sitting back on her bed. You thought back to when you and Bakugo had just started dating.
You were in the common room just burning time before your next class and you guys got onto the topic of being in an actual committed relationship. He wasn't a fan of labels but he did want to be in a commitment. You were confused by his preference but you were just happy that he felt the same way. And in that moment nothing else mattered. He made a joke about getting his name tattooed on you. Needless to say you weren't amused. He put two fingers to the side of your neck quickly burning it. “Oww
, what the hell?” You asked, stepping back holding the sacred area of your neck. “Now everyone will know your mine.” He said snickering at your reaction. “No one even cares about marks.” You said you were angry and annoyed. “No, but they'll ask how you got it.” He said as a smirk pulled across his face, he turned around before you could offer up a rebuttal. He stuck his hand back in his pocket and waved with the other, retreating back to whichever dark corner he crawled out of. “See you later, you damn loser.” And with that he was out of your sight.
“It's from training, Denki got me with a few thousand volts. I didn't dodge in time so I got a little burnt. No big deal.” You said brushing it off trying not to think about it.
