On Tuesday 21st of July, 2 pupils of Northend Secondary School were walking home from school and were involved in an unfortunate traffic accident involving a speeding truck that hit them as they fell onto the road and were hit. An eye witness stated that they quote "saw a flash of purple flash as they were hit and then they were gone, just like that." later the CCTV footage from the area confirmed this. The victims in question are Alice Howard and Nathen Brando who were both just 13 years old and would be going into Year 9 at the end of the summer holidays that have just started.
