The grandfatherly but mysterious CEO of Yoo Law Firm takes her under his wing without any explanation and helps her fledgling chauffeur business thrive. With a select list of passengers hand selected by Yoo SangHoon, Nari finds a way to overcome her social anxiety and make friends among the powerful elite. Everyone knows Nari as a kind and compassionate woman, who will go to great lengths to help those in need.

Just as Nari is the angel in everyone's eyes, Yun JiHo is the proverbial devil. The twenty-seven-year-old confirmed bachelor is Yoo Law Firm's lead detective, and for good reason. When he sees powerful men doing terrible things, he lays waste to their career with both horns.

Yoo SangHoon sees something in JiHo others miss. An orphan, himself, JiHo has made it his mission to mentor at-risk teens. Contrary to the rumors of his womanizing and cold disposition, JiHo has a heart begging to be warmed. Yoo SangHoon introduces JiHo to Nari in hopes of teaching them both that being alone isn't the way to heal.

The moment his auburn eyes look into her deep blue ones, JiHo knows he will never be the same. He sets his sights on her and like everything that piques his curious mind, refuses to let go, especially when he discovers Nari's secrets.

 "Cultivating Lilies" is a modern drama set in Seoul, South Korea. It is a year-long journey through the heart-warming and sometimes heart-wrenching experiences of two lonely souls brought together by circumstances kept hidden from them until the end. 

 This short story is made of 4 parts that will post over 4 months, with each part beginning on the first of each month, from March until June. It isn't as long or complex as my previous novels ("Tale of The Butterfly and The Crane" & "Xièzhì"), but readers may find this an enjoyable short read that will stay in their hearts for quite some time.
