The sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the bustling streets of Riverfield. The evening sky, painted in shades of orange and purple, welcomed a fresh wave of students to the prestigious Decelis Academy. Among them was Sooha, a new transfer student who had just arrived with a mix of apprehension and excitement.
Sooha adjusted her backpack, its straps digging slightly into her shoulders as she walked through the grand entrance of the academy. The impressive stone building loomed above her, its intricate Gothic architecture both intimidating and awe-inspiring. Her dark brown hair, streaked with a hint of pink, flowed down her back, and her large rose-quartz eyes took in the sprawling campus.
“This place is huge,” Sooha murmured to herself, her voice barely audible over the clamor of her new classmates.
As she made her way to the main hall, she was greeted by the warm, albeit curious, gazes of her peers. A group of students, gathered around a bulletin board, looked up as Sooha approached. Their eyes lingered on her for a moment before they resumed their conversation.
“Hey, are you the new girl?” one of the students asked, breaking the ice. She had short, blonde hair and a friendly smile.
Sooha nodded, offering a shy smile in return. “Yeah, I’m Sooha. Just transferred here.”
“I’m Emily,” the girl said, extending her hand. “Welcome to Decelis. Let me know if you need any help finding your way around.”
“Thanks, Emily,” Sooha replied, shaking her hand.
As the day progressed, Sooha settled into her classes, trying to familiarize herself with the routines and the faces around her. Her new environment was a far cry from the small, transient schools she had attended before. Here, the halls were adorned with elegant banners, and the classrooms were filled with the hum of eager students.
During lunch, Sooha found herself seated at a table with a group of students who seemed to have formed a tight-knit circle. Among them were Heli, Jaan, Shion, Jino, Jaan, Jakah, and Noa—seven boys who stood out for their striking features and confident demeanor.
“Hey, you’re Sooha, right?” Heli asked with a warm smile. He had a friendly, easygoing aura that contrasted sharply with his imposing presence. “I’m Heli. This is Jaan, Shion, Jino, Jaan, Jakah, and Noa. We’re in most of your classes.”
Sooha nodded, feeling a bit overwhelmed by the sudden attention but appreciative of their friendliness. “Nice to meet you all.”
“Sit with us,” Shion offered, his cheerful expression making it easy to feel at ease. “We’ve got plenty of room.”
As Sooha took her seat, she glanced around at her new tablemates. Jaan sat with a stoic expression, while Jakah’s thoughtful gaze seemed to be analyzing the room. Noa, though quiet, had an air of calm that contrasted with the more lively personalities around him.
“So, how are you finding Decelis so far?” Jino asked, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.
“It’s a lot to take in,” Sooha admitted, glancing around at the grandeur of the academy. “I’m still getting used to everything.”
“No worries,” Heli said, offering a reassuring smile. “It can be overwhelming at first, but you’ll get the hang of it. If you ever need anything, just let us know.”
The conversation flowed easily, and Sooha began to relax. The group’s warmth was a welcome change from the isolation she had experienced in the past. As the lunch period came to a close, Sooha felt a small sense of belonging in this new chapter of her life.
Later that evening, as she walked back to her dorm room, Sooha couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation. The academy was full of secrets and stories waiting to be discovered. As she reached her room, she took a deep breath, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
“Tomorrow is a new day,” Sooha said to herself, her voice steady and determined. “And I’m ready for it.”
With that, she closed the door behind her, the echoes of the academy’s history and its new beginnings resonating in her heart.
