Look, I know this is odd. Lord I know it is. Trust me, it’s only going to get weirder. Just please, don’t give up on this just yet. I get if you don’t want to continue, I really do, but I ask that you do. Please read my story. I think you may like it. More than that, I think it will do you good.

Wow, that sounded condescending of me. Goodness, this is hard. I barely know what to write to make you keep reading. That’s all I want. For you to keep reading, to hear my words. I mean, read my words.

Let’s just forge ahead, shall we?

I want to tell you a story. It’s a story about a boy and a girl, and dreams. Also love. I know that doesn’t sound super exciting, but I think you might like it. I can just imagine you looking skeptical now. Your left brow is lifted isn’t it? And you have a half smile on your lips. You’re asking yourself who this stranger is, that wants to tell you a story that ‘will do you good’. I promise I’m friendly! I tell jokes sometimes. Want to hear one now?

Two cows are standing in the field. One turns to the other and says ‘have you heard about this mad cow disease going around?’ the other nods mournfully ‘awful stuff’ he replies ‘good thing we’re chickens’.

Funny right? Admit you snorted at least. Now that I’ve hooked you with my absolutely brilliant humor, I will continue with my story, and hope you keep reading. That’s all I can do now, hope that your good nature will keep you going. Who knows? Maybe the story will hook you.

It's a pretty weird one, and some parts of it may make you think I’m a little nuts. To be fair, I’m pretty sure I am. However, I know you like weird, and that nuts its your style. Don’t ask how I know that, just accept it as truth.

In fact, I’m going to ask you to suspend your disbelief from here on out. Accept that what I say is true, or at least accept it in the context of the story, otherwise we’re never going to get anywhere. Up is down, you hear? Red is blue!

OK, not really. However, I did mean the ‘suspending your disbelief’ thing. Like you do for those big action and superhero movies. None of it is realistic, but you can accept it as a part of the universe the story exists in, right? That’s all I’m asking, accept the reality of my story within the confines of its universe.

I’m just babbling now, aren’t I? alright I’ll stop. I do, however, have just one more thing to add. The story may start feeling familiar, and I really hope it does. This story means so much to me, and I hope it reaches you. I hope to reach you, through my words. That’s all. You can continue now.
