I’ve been obsessed with wanting to be a hero. Entering my second year of high school, that obsession made me a target. I had the will to speak up for others but didn’t have the strength. Not having the strength was crucial because it suppressed me my whole first year. My second year is going to be different because I want it to be different. Change starts in the mind.

Homeroom teacher greeting the class, “Hello, students I hoped everyone enjoyed their summer. Please hand forward your summer homework.”

Grabbing my book bag to pull out my homework when my chair was pulled back, “Hey, if isn’t the infamous Hidoi. Why don’t you just erase your name and put mines.”

Knocking his hand off the chair, “I’m good. Don’t call me that no more.”

People started to laugh at my comment which triggered him, “You think hot stuff because grew a couple inches?”. Ignoring him has I passed my homework forward. That set him off, “Dumbass don’t you hear me talking to you?”

The teacher immediately interrupts him, “Hey! Sit down and be quiet.”

Sits back in the chair, “We’ll see if you can still act this way after school Hidoi.”

First day back and there’s already problems. Hidoi is a name they thought of because it meant the opposite of super. After school I grabbed my things and head out the door. I reached the entrance of the school when ken puts his arm around my shoulder and directs me to the back of the school.

Pushes me down, “It all could’ve been so simple. Why talk back? Why be something that you’re not?”

Laughing at his remark, “The name is Nozomu, but to villains like you its Mugen.” I get up off the ground and stare him down, “Don’t tell me my name freaked you out.”. He points behind me as an asteroid like thing falling from the sky was heading towards us, “Shi….T!”
