Hi, my name is Eliza, I am 12 years old and I live in New York and it is the start of the summer holidays.

I have 4 friends: Misty, Ursa, Olive and Primrose.

Misty is a pain in the bum but we still love her!

Ursa is a loyal as a dog and quiet as a mouse.

Olive is wise as an owl and is very clever!

Primrose is beautiful as a rose and is very pretty!

So, today is the first day of our literature club, so let's get into it!

The first thing we do is pick a word from a hat and write a poem about it.

I got the word "melt", Misty got the word "animal, Ursa got the word "glamorous", Primrose got the word "art" and Olive got the word "dinosaur".

This is what I wrote:

My ice-cream is melting

I try to lick it to stop melting

But, it doesn't stop

And I'm sticky 

This is what Misty wrote:

My favourite animal is a panda

They are black and white and cute

And they are fluffy

I wish I had one

This is what Ursa wrote:

My dress is very glamorous

It is white with sliver rhinestones

And I wear it at every disco and party

This is what Primrose wrote:

I like doing art

My favourite one I did was the dog

And I liked it!

This is what Olive wrote:

Dinosaurs are scary,

But I like the flying ones

I wish I could fly

We all cheered and whooped at our work.

I got an A plus, Misty got a B plus, Ursa got a C plus, Primrose got a A plus and Olive got a B plus.

"Why did it have to be a C plus?!"whined Ursa. "I wished for an A plus not a C plus!"

"I think that the poem needs more details,"I advised her

"Elisa's right! You need more details, Ursa!"joined in Primrose.

"But, I couldn't think of any more words!"Ursa whined again.

"I think C plus is good,"I told her.

"Yeah! I think it's a good score!"Primrose joined in.

Thanks, we better get going, our parents will be impatient waiting on us,"Ursa smiled.

I said goodbye to my friends in the car, I can't wait to go back tomorrow!

"So, how was literature club?"asked my mum.

"Good!"I replied.

When I got home, I had a snack, it was a roll cake.

I texted my friends, I was sushilover123, Misty was pandagurl, Ursa was pinkgirl, Primrose was chihuahualover342 and Olive was cupcakegirl.

sushilover123: What's is tomorrow's lesson?

chihuahualover342: Haiku.

pinkgirl: We do the same thing, pick a random word out of a hat.

pandagurl: I can't wait to do haiku!

cupcakegirl: I love haiku!

sushilover123: Me too!

I can't wait to do haiku tomorrow, so I slept while dreaming about it!
