In front of Luz, the small remnants of Belos' goo mash together, slowly turning into Philip.
"Luz... Luz, I'm- I'm free. Thank goodness you saved me from..." He pauses his speech as he sweats nervously "...from that horrible curse."
Luz does nothing but look at him with a blank expression. Her long hair and dress slowly bounce off and back into the wind.
"Yes, I-I was cursed with a terrible, terrible sickness, by... by dark magic, just like your mentor." He said.
Oh he did not just try and use Eda to convince her. The sky slowly turns dark, signaling the fall of boiling rain. Luz somehow can feel it through her bond. It's King's dad, wanting to punish Belos for everything he's done.
But is a little rain enough for him to pay?
"It forced me to do all those horrible things, but now, I'm free." He talked, as if he could convince her.
A drop of boiling rain falls and he screams in pain, the part that the rain touched on his hand becoming green. Boiling rain starts to fall from the sky.
"AH!" He screams in pain at the rain touching his skin. He slowly crawls towards Luz, his face begging for help. "Quickly, now! Don't you want to make peace, Luz?"
He slowly reverts back to his goo form due to the boiling rain. Luz's expression remains unfazed, the rain turning to sparkles on her hair as the boiling rain does not affect her, most either due to her connection to the Titan or her magic is subconsciously covering her. She was curious about it, but didn't have the luxury to divert her attention.
"Don't just stand there!" He says, half his face already turning back into goo. Soon his body decomposes as he is fully back to goo form and starts to crawl back to Luz, half of his body fully gone. "You'll be just as bad, just as conniving, just as evil, and just as unforgivable as those witches!"
So in the end, he still thinks everyone but him is evil. Guess King's dad was right. He really does think himself as a hero in his delusion.
Philip, or in this case now, Belos, holds Luz's leg in an attempt to convince her. "We're human. We're better than this!" He shouts at her.
The Human Titan just took a step back out of his grip, looking down at Belos with no emotion as she was in effected by the rain. From behind, Eda, King, and Raine walked around with a giant leave to protect them from the rain.
"Well, we ain't!" Eda shouted as they looked down at home.
"Huh?" Belos let out.
The trio lifted their feet and STOMPED! Vigorously stomping Belos into the dirt and into death as the boiling rain slowly stopped.
"That was MOST satisfying." Raine said with a grin.
"Ew, he's one my claws!" King said, shaking his feet clean while Raine shrank the leaf.
"Amazing." Raine said in awe.
"Would you look at that? Dang, King. You got tall genes." Eda said, smiling at her son.
King and Eda walked to Luz, who is still in her Human Titan hybrid form, and they all gazed to the sky before laughing.
"We did it. It's finally over." Luz said with a chuckle.
"Yeah. It is." Eda said, smiling with her kids.
As they laughed together, The Collector appeared before them.
The Collector asked, "Hey Luz, can I talk to you in private?", Luz responded with "Sure. Eda, King, I'll meet you at the Owl House later. I have to talk to the Collector.". Eda with confidence said "Alright kiddo. Come on, King. Let's go home.". And so, Eda, King, and Raine went to the Owl House, leaving just the two of them together by themselves.
"Thank you, Luz, for saving the Boiling Isles," The Collector said, bowing respectfully. "As a reward, what if I could offer you something to return the favor?"
Luz was taken aback. She didn't know what The Collector could possibly offer her, but she was willing to listen. The Collector grabbed her hand, and suddenly, they were transported to a different place.
Luz found herself standing in a dark, deserted street. She looked around and realized that she was in front of her old house. But something was different. There was an ambulance parked outside, and a group of people were gathered around the front door.
Luz's heart raced as she pushed her way through the crowd. She could hear her own voice screaming inside her head, "Mom? Mom! Is that me?! What is this?!" When she finally made it to the front door, she saw her mother's body being carried out on a stretcher. Her eyes were closed, and her skin was ashen.
Luz fell to her knees, tears streaming down her face. "What's happening?!," she whispered.
The Collector appeared beside her, looking down at her sympathetically. "We are in the near future. This is the moment where you watch your mother die... unless..."
Luz looked up at him, her eyes wide with hope. "Unless what? Please, I'll do anything!"
"Unless you were to take matters into your own hands," The Collector said, his voice low and menacing.
Suddenly, time rewound, and Luz found herself back in the demon realm, just before she left. She looked down at her palisman, which was crackling with Vortal energy.
"Unleash the worlds, Luz," The Collector said. Luz hesitated for a moment, but then she fired the Vortal Energy, electrocuting the Portal Door and sending a beam up into the sky, combining all the worlds, the Human Realm, the Demon Realm, and all the other dimensions.
"Good," The Collector said, nodding approvingly. "As a consequence of your actions, this entity will continue, and this entity will not."
Luz was confused. "What do you mean?"
"I mean that you have proven yourself to be of extraordinary value," The Collector said, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "A couple of my previous hires have been unable or unwilling to perform the tasks laid before them."
The Collector stepped aside, revealing Dipper Pines, Mabel Pines, Alan Wake, Jack Joyce, Max Payne, and Jesse Faden in silhouette.
"We have struggled to find a suitable replacement... until now," The Collector said, chuckling.
Luz shook her head in disbelief. "No... I just want to go home. Send me home!"
"I'm afraid you misunderstand the situation, Luz," The Collector said, opening a doorway of pure light. He stepped through it, and it closed behind him.
"Wait!" Luz shouted. "Hey, wait! Wait!! WAIT!!"
Luz's heart sank as she realized she had been used. She had trusted The Collector, thinking that he was just a sad and lonely demigod child. But it turned out that he was something far more sinister. The realization hit her like a ton of bricks, and she couldn't believe that she had fallen for his act.
As they traveled through the portal, Luz couldn't help but think of what awaited her. The Collector's organization was no ordinary group, and she knew that whatever task they had in store for her wouldn't be easy. But she had no choice - she had been hired, and now she was at their mercy.
Luz couldn't help but think about her friends, and what they would think of her now. She had been taken away without a word, and she had no idea when - or if - she would ever see them again. It was a lonely feeling, being trapped in a strange world with no one to turn to.
The portal closed behind them, and Luz was left standing in a dimly lit hallway. The Collector motioned for her to follow, and she reluctantly complied. She didn't know what was waiting for her on the other side, but she knew it wouldn't be good.
As they walked, The Collector spoke in a low, ominous voice. "You have no idea how valuable you are, Luz. Your unique abilities make you the perfect candidate for our organization. And we always get what we want."
Luz's heart pounded in her chest as they approached a large, imposing door. The Collector opened it with a flourish, revealing a sprawling office filled with strange, otherworldly objects. It was like nothing she had ever seen before, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.
The Collector gestured for her to sit, and she nervously took a seat in front of his desk. He pulled out a file and flipped it open, studying its contents for a moment before speaking.
"I must say, your performance on the Boiling Isles was impressive. You have proven yourself to be a valuable asset, and we have big plans for you."
Luz swallowed hard, unsure of what was expected of her. She had no idea what kind of organization The Collector ran, but she knew that it couldn't be good. And she had a sinking feeling that she was in way over her head.
As The Collector continued to speak, Luz's mind raced with thoughts of escape. She knew that she couldn't stay here forever, and that she needed to find a way out before it was too late. But for now, all she could do was wait and see what fate had in store for her.
