The four Gods ruled the elements….

Anix — The God of Fire.

Raava — The Goddess of Water.

Crosis — The God of Wind.

Dunia — The Goddess of Earth.

The four Gods all lived together peacefully.

One day, while idle, the Gods decided to create a new world.

Fascinated by the many versions of the human species, the Gods copied the DNA of humans and created their own versions of them to inhabit their newly created world.

Some humans were granted with a drop of power from each God, thus birthing a special race of humans known as Madokais. These “special” humans were granted the power to “wield” any one of the four elements- Water, Earth, Wind and Fire.

Fascinated with their creation, the Gods thus created a “hybrid” version of human, called the Tenaris. The Tenaris were humans that contained the essence of any one of the Gods. Resembling fae, the Tenaris were equipped with pointed ears and were also granted the power of Wielding, however, due to them possessing the essence of the Gods, they were far more powerful than regular Wielders and were mostly feared.

Peace lasted for centuries until for unknown reasons, a war broke out between the Gods.

This war caused a tear between the Gods’ newly created world and the demon world, causing the two worlds to collide. To put an end to the Gods’ new world’s destruction, the Gods came together to stop them.

To seal the tear between the two worlds, the Gods intertwined their powers. The combining of powers caused a catastrophic chain reaction, and after the smoke cleared, a stone was formed. This stone was called the Dragtagon. Due to the stone’s immense power, the Gods decided to hide the stone away, to only reveal itself to the "chosen one".

Once hidden, the Gods disappeared and were never to be seen again…..

Until now…

Episode 1: Pilot

Present Day

“Ven. It’s time to get up. You’re going to be late.”

Ven opens his eyes and sees his mother standing over him with her hands on her hips, with a look of impatience forming on her face. She’s such a cute thing. About five foot eight inches slender build, caramel skin with long curly black hair with speckles of gray; the poster child of aging like fine wine.

“You do this every morning. You would think that by now you would be used to going to school!” She whines. “Get! Up!”

“I’m up. I’m up,” Ven groans.

“Good. I have to go to work. Please be on time today. I left you some tamagoyaki to eat for breakfast and I made some fish cakes for you to eat for lunch. I hope you enjoy.”

“I always enjoy your cooking mom.”

His mother smiles and bends down and places a soft kiss on his forehead.

“Listen. I know that you hate going to school. It’s rough. You’re a teenager and you’re “different” than the rest of them but, that’s what makes you special! Just remember that I love you. Besides, tomorrow is your sixteenth birthday and I promised you that I would take you somewhere very special. Just get through today and tomorrow will be here before you know it! I do have to go so I will see you later tonight. I love you.”

His mother gets up and leaves and yells for him to lock the doors before he leaves for the day.

Ven groans and heads for the shower.

Meet Ven.

A soon to be sixteen-year-old student attending Ujiwama High.

Quiet.

Intelligent.

Different.

To most people, he was just another strange kid. He spent most of his free time reading manga, playing video games, watching anime, and enjoying the quiet moments he shared with his mother, Auroa. He stands about 5 foot  eight inches, scrawny build, short black/ brown hair. He has caramel skin and hazel eyes. He’s the perfect kid except, there is just one problem with him.

He looks like an elf.

Pointed ears.

Pointed sharp ears.

*Ujiwama High*

The moment Ven stepped through the school gates, the familiar feeling returned.

Eyes followed him.

Whispers surrounded him.

Not loud enough for teachers to notice.

But loud enough for him to hear.

"Is that him?"

"Yeah."

"The elf kid?"

Ven lowered his head and continued walking.

He had heard it all before.

Elf.

Freak.

Monster.

Abomination.

Names people had thrown at him since he was a child.

At some point, Ven stopped being angry.

Stopped fighting back.

Stopped trying to explain himself.

What was the point?

No matter what he said...

They had already decided what he was.

So he stayed quiet.

He kept to himself.

And he disappeared into the background.

Every class.

Every day.

The same routine.

Ven sat in the back of every classroom, avoiding attention.

But despite his silence, there was one thing everyone knew about him.

He was smart.

Very smart.

Every exam.

Every assignment.

Every challenge placed in front of him...

He passed, sometimes effortlessly. And that only made things worse. To the other students, Ven was a contradiction.

A strange-looking nerd who somehow outperformed them.

Someone they couldn't understand.

Someone who made them question themselves.

*Lunch*

Ven is sitting at his usual table eating the tamagoyaki that his mother made for him.

His loving mother. S

he has made him lunch ever single day for the past fifteen years.

The lunch is never the same and it is always delicious.

Every lunch, Ven sits in the back of the cafeteria, alone.

None of the other children ever offer to give him company.

Not that he minds.

“Hey elf man. What are you eating for lunch today?”  Jamie smirked.

Jamie Tanaka

The popular, tall, handsome, asshole.

The typical high school punk that hangs out with a group of mindless followers that will follow him to the ends of the Earth, if asked.

Ven says nothing as he continues to eat his lunch.

Jamie frowned.

"He asked you a question."

P.J. Yamamato stepped forward. Jamie’s right-hand man.

Ven ignored them and continued eating and hoped that they would disappear.

It never worked.

Suddenly, Jamie grabbed Ven's lunch and before Ven could react, the container hit the floor. The food spilled across the cafeteria tiles.

"Oops." Jamie smiled. "Guess I dropped it."

The cafeteria became quieter and everyone watched Jamie's assault on Ven. He leaned closer and said, "Dogs are supposed to answer when their master talks to them." He grabbed Ven by the collar and pulled him up. His tightened his fist.

“Now Mr. Tanaka! What seems to be the problem here?!!”

Standing behind him was the school's guidance counselor, Mr. Agikama, and he did not look happy, not in the slightest. Assessing the scene, Mr. Agikama pieced the situation together and grabbed Jamie's ear.

“Ow! Ow! Ow! Stop!” he yells in pain, letting go of Ven.

“Ow! Ow! Ow! No! You and your sidekick are coming with me to my office,” mocks Mr. Agikama.  He grabs P.J. by the shoulder. “My office! Now! Let’s go!”

As Jamie was dragged away, he looked back at Ven, his expression becoming more sinister, and whispered, "I'll see you later."

The whispers started again.

The stares.

The pointing.

Unable to handle it, Ven queitly leaves the cafeteria and spends the rest of the day in the boy's locker room.

Alone.

*End of school*

Once school ends, Ven makes a quiet exit from the locker room and heads home. Wanting to avoid the looks from his fellow classmates exiting the school, Ven decides to exit out the back. He takes a short cut through the alleyway next to the school, hops the metal fence and ends up on a busy Tokyo sidewalk, flooded by citizens that are too stuck in their own minds to notice Ven.

Nobody noticed.

Nobody cared.

Nothing new for him.

Ven walks with is hands in his pockets, staring at the ground.

Then-

A cold sensation wrapped around his shoulder.

Ven stopped.

His entire body tensed.

Someone had touched him.

He quickly turned around.

Nobody.

The street behind him was crowded, but no one stood close enough to have grabbed him.

Ven looked around suspiciously.

"...Okay." He swallowed. "That was weird." After a moment, he shook his head. "I'm just tired."

He turned back around and continued walking.

I'm probably just imagining things.

Then...

"Ven." He froze.

The sound was quiet. Almost like a whisper. But he heard it.

"Ven."

Ven whips his head around after hearing the sound of his name. There isn't anyone behind him that is close enough to whisper into his ear.

“I’m just paranoid. That’s all. It’s all in my head. I just need to make it home”

He continues walking along the street.

A few seconds pass...

"Ven."

There it is again. The cold, eerie whisper of his name.

He stops walking abruptly, causing a few of the citizens to give him annoyed looks. He looks down and sees a shadow that isn’t his, right next to him.

"Run."

Every instinct in Ven's body screamed.

He then bolts down the street, zigging and zagging in between civilians. He doesn't turn his head back to see what he is running from exactly, nor does he care.

The only thing on his mind is to find safety.

He runs down a street and then-

CRASH

He unexpectedly, slams right into Jamie and his friends outside of a ramen shop.

“Elf man! I was looking for you!” Jamie says excitedly, slurping some of his noodles. “You got me in trouble today and now I have detention for the next two weeks! How should I repay you for this?”

Ven quickly gets up from the ground and slowly backs away from Jamie and his gang.

“He’s going to run,” one of Jamie's friends mumbles.

As predicted, Ven takes off running.

“Told ya.”

Jamie shouts, “GET HIM!!”

Jamie and his gang bolt after him.

"I need to lose them!" Ven thinks to himself as he runs through the streets of Tokyo. "But how?!"

He quickly takes in his surroundings as he runs, and notices a sign for the city park up ahead.

"The forest behind the city park!"

He heads towards the entrance of the park, running through the playground, hopping the fence that acts as a barrier between the park and the forest. Once over the fence, he kicks into overdrive and runs even faster. He zigs and zags through the trees, going deeper and deeper into the green. He runs until his lungs force him to stop and take a breath. He huffs and puffs, trying to catch his breath. He doesn't hear the sound of leaves crunching beneath tired feet, nor does he hear the threatening voices of Jamie and his gang behind him.

“I lost them,” he says aloud with a sigh of relief. His hands rested on his knees as he struggled to breathe. Relief washes over him.

Suddenly, Ven crashes to the ground with a loud thump.

“You really thought that you wold be able to lose us in here did you? I know this forest like the back of my hand!"

A familiar voice spoke above him.

Ven looks up and sees Jamie standing over him and behind him are his friends.

“You would think by now that you would just die," P.J. says and cracks his knuckles. "You’re not one of us.”

“It’s obvious that he’s not human. Look at him.” Comments another.

“An abomination,” Jamie adds and smirks. “Let’s teach him a lesson that he won’t forget.”

He steps closer.

Jamie and his gang giggle evily. Their eyes full of nothing but malicious intent. Ven knows that it is futile to ask for mercy from them, since they have been picking on him for as long as he can remember. As if it was rehearsed, Ven covers his head with his hands and braces himself for the anticipated impact.

The first punch landed.

Then another.

And another.

The forest swallowed his cries.

When they were finished...

They left him there.

Alone.

Broken.

And bleeding.

*Later that night*

Hours passed and Ven has not made it home, yet.

Auroa is pacing around her home with a hot glass of sake. She has been calling and texting her son but he has not answered.

“He should’ve been home by now,” she whispers while pacing back and forth. “Dear Anix. Where is he?”

Suddenly, the front door swings open and Ven comes stumbling in. His nose is bloodied, his right eye is swollen and his clothes have been dirtied and torn.

“WHAT HAPPENED?!” Auroa shouts, nearly dropping her glass of sake as she runs over to her son, letting panic take over.

She tries to touch him but he smacks her hand away.

Auroa freezes. "Wha-"

“You already KNOW!” Yells Ven right before he runs upstairs to his room and slams the door, leaving Auroa stunned downstairs.

Two hours pass by and Ven has yet to come out of his room.

Mustering up the courage, Auroa finally walks upstairs and stops outside of Ven’s bedroom door.

She calls his name but no answer. She jiggles the handle of the door but it’s locked. Not surprising.

“Ven..... Please..... Talk to me,” she pleads.

Knock.

Knock.

"Ven? Ven... please talk to me."

Silence.

Click

She then hears the handle jiggle and the door opens. She walks in the room to find Ven sitting on his bed, with his head down, looking utterly defeated. She joins him on the bed and stares at the ceiling.

Finally...

"Jamie?"

Ven slowly nods.

Auroa growls. “I don’t understand what his problem is with you. He’s been bothering you for years. You won’t even let me talk to his father. I should put an end to this now I-.”

“What’s the point,” Ven cuts her off.

Auroa sighs and turns towards Ven.

Ven grips the sheets beneath him and whispers, “I don’t belong mom. I never have. I never will. Let’s stop pretending."

“Let’s stop pretending what?”

“That I’m not different than everybody else!” Ven screams and faces her.

“Look at me! Everyone looks normal except for me! It’s all because of these!”  He points to his ears.“Let’s stop pretending that these are normal or that I will "grow" into them! Let’s stop acting as if everything is alright because it’s not!" His voice cracks. "You keep telling me I'm special, but you don't understand!" He turns toward her. "You're not different, Mom!"

Auroa's eyes soften. She says nothing at first. Instead, she pulls her son into a tight embrace, letting him bury his face against her shoulder and sulk.

“You’re right.”

Ven slowly lifts his head.

“You are different.” He looks up at her, expecting an explanation. Auroa gently runs her fingers through his hair, her gaze fixed intensely on him. “But you don’t understand what that means yet.”

Ven’s brow furrows. “What? What does that mean?”

Auroa’s expression shifts. For a moment, she looks as though she’s trying to find the right words. Then her eyes drift toward the window.

"You are different. You just don’t know what that means,” she says with a surprisingly calm tone. “It will all make sense to you tomorrow.” She gives him a reassuring pat on the back. "Tomorrow is your sixteenth birthday and tomorrow...You'll finally learn the truth."

Ven stares at her. "What are you talking about?"

Auroa looks back at him. "Everything will make sense soon."

Ven opens his mouth to respond but before he can say anything—

Auroa gently taps his forehead.

Instantly... Ven's eyes widen and a strange sensation spreads through his body and the room begins to spin.

Mom...?" His voice becomes distant and darkness surrounds him.

And before he can ask another question...

The world disappeared.
