Harry walks down the hall, he smiles, he enjoys the silence of the hall ways at night. He takes the hood of the invisibility cloak off and hears a thud.

"What?" He turns to see a ball of blond fur on the floor. "Hey little guy, whats up?"

The animal looks up at him and scurries away slightly.

"Hey hey, its ok, I won't hurt you. I promise." Harry pulls the cloak off completely and steps towards it. "Come on, trust me."

The animal sniffs the air taking a step towards him, he almost takes another step but quickly retracts when they both hear steps.

"Shit." Harry pulls the cloak on just as Snape walks by, Harry looks around for the small creature, he cant see it so he just leaves.

"Harry, mate! Do you know what time it is!?" Ron whisper screams at the boy. "And what did you bring back with you?"

"What are you talking about Ron?" Harry sighs and folds the cloak.

"That!" Harry sees where Ron is pointing and smiles.

"So you DID follow me, you must have hid under my cloak you smart fella!" Harry chuckles and walks up to the animal.

In the light from the lamp, Harry now sees that the small critter is, in fact, a ferret. The ferret is blond, nice sleek shiny healthy fur, piercing silver gray eyes. He chuckles and kneels down inches away holding out his hand. He waited and waited till a few minutes later the ferret crawled onto his hand.

"You sure are cute." Harry chuckles, its almost as if the ferret got embarrassed, for it looked away quickly.

"Mate you better not let that thing near me, it gives off some nasty vibes." As if offended, the ferret hisses in Harry's hand beforeclimbing up his arm and snuggles to Harry's neck.

"Aw, but he's cute!" Harry's giggles and smiles.

The ferret purrs and looks up at Harry before glaring at Ron.

"Come on little guy, how about go take a bath?" Harry smiles, knowing he won't be able to sleep at all.

"Mate..." Ron knows Harry can't sleep much at night, but he's worried one day he'll get caught.

"Ron, you know just as well as I do I won't sleep tonight so why not just go take a bath?" Harry smiles and walks out again.

"AAAAH! Isn't this nice?" Harry sighs as he slides into the nice hot water.

The ferret jumps off the edge to land on to Harry's head, or so that was the plan. He ends up in the water with a splash in front of Harry. Harry burst out laughing as he holds the soggy wet animal in his hands, it hissed at him and shook its body.

"S-sorry little guy, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. You know, we need to name you...what about... Muffin? I think it suits you." Harry chuckles as the ferret tilts it's head, as if to say 'How?' to him.

The ferret looks away, Harry smiles and sets him on the edge of the pool sized bath. Harry stands up to his full 5'8 height, he chuckles as the ferret looks away from him.

"Aw, is someone embarrassed?" Harry laughs as the ferret runs and hides under his robes.

Harry finishes washing and grabs his towel. He walks over drying his hair off and smiles as steps up to his clothes to see his little furry friend asleep.

"Muffin~" He smiles, he moves the fur ball of the clothing and gets dressed. "Lets go muffin."

He scoops up the fur ball and heads to his room.

When Harry slides under the covers he smiles as he feels Muffin crawl up from the foot of the bed to lay down by his chest. Harry hums and wraps his arms around Muffin.

"Night bud."

Harry feels a wet snout on his cheek, he opens his eyes and sees Muffin.

"Good morning!" Harry chuckles and sits up yawn, Muffin falls off his chest and lands on his back. "Ha ha, sorry little guy."

"How was sleeping mate?" Harry looks up to see Ron fixing his tie.

"Good, I think I slept better cause I had Muffin here!" Harry pick Muffin up and snuggles his nose against his stomach.

"You NAMED it!?" Ron asks in disbelief.

"Yep, and he is my new best friend." Harry smiles as Muffin purrs as he pets him.

"Ouch mate, ouch." Ron shakes his head.

"Ha!" Harry flops back on the bed laughing as Ron sticks his tongue out at Muffin, who hisses back in response.

"Come on mate, lets get to breakfast." Ron kicks Harry's leg.

"Fine fine, I'm going." Harry sets Muffin down and stands up.

Harry changes and pulls his robe on, he picks up his bag and sets it on the bed.

"Wanna come to class with me?" Harry looks into the silver gray eyes of his furry friend, Muffin looks at him then back to the bed.

"Come on mate!" Ron pops his head back into the dorm room.

"Comin!" Harry grabs his bag and turns, he walks to the door.

He look back and sees that Muffin is gone, he then looks down as he feels a tug on his pants.

"So ya do want to come." Harry smiles and picks the fur ball up.

"Harry!"

"I'm coming!" Harry screams as he calmly set Muffin into his bag.

"What took you so bloody fucking long Harry?" Ron leads them out of the common room and into the hallway.

"Muffin wanted to come." Harry lifts his bag and smiles as the ferret pops out to look at him from the sound of his name.

"Again with that creature?" Ron rolls his eyes as Muffin hisses at him.

"Ron Muffin is a animal not a cre-"

"Whatcha got here Potter? A rat?" Blaise asks seeing the animal in his bag.

"No Blaise, why would the GREAT Harry Potter have a rat? Its obvious its a mouse, it's the same size as his weaner." Pansy and Blaise cackle together.

"Oh shove off Zabini, Parkinson." Ron says.

"Or what weasel?" Blaise step towards him.

"Uh-"

"Come on Blaise, lets get to breakfast." Pansy places her hand on his muscular arm, she leans over and comes face to face with Muffin. "What's his name?"

"Muffin." Harry says, he grips his wand in his pocket ready to strike.

"Aw, cute name." She smirks. "Such BEAUTIFUL eyes."

"Yes."

"Where did you get her?" She stands up still staring at the animal.

"Him, and I found him last night in the halls." Harry looks at her skeptically as she and Blaise look at each other.

"Well, good luck then." She says, but it seemed like she was aiming more at Muffin than Harry.

"Thanks?" Harry and Ron look at each other but shrug it off.

"Let go mate."

" 'Kay." Harry follows Ron to the Great Hall.

The two sit down next to Hermione.

"Good morning!" Hermione has here usual omelet, but today she has a glass of orange juice.

"Mornin." They both say, Harry puts his hand in his bag and pulls Muffin out.

"Harry! No animals at the table." Hermione says, but she notices how cute he is. "Aw! But he is cute, what is it's name?"

"Muffin." Ron rolls his eyes as he responds before Harry.

"Harry, that's so cute! Does he know tricks or commands?" She grabs a strawberry and sets it on the table in front of Muffin.

"I don't know, I found him last..night?"

Harry stops as he and the other two watch as Muffin picks up the strawberry and places it on Hermione's plate. He then goes and grabs a green apple and rolls it over to Harry.

"Um you want me to cut that." Harry points to the apple.

Muffin taps the apple again with a nod.

"He's so smart!" She pick him up and snuggles him.

"Yeah, he is." Ron slowly takes a bite and chuckles.

"Hermione be careful he may-"

"Ouch!" She sets him down but hold a napkin to her noise. "He bit me!"

"Yeah, he doesn't really like people." Harry says as he points his wand at the apple.

"Are you so sure mate, he seems to like you, a LOT." Ron points out as Muffin grabs a slice of the apple and crawls up onto Harry's shoulder.

"Yeah, Harry, I think you have a small friend!" Hermione giggles and hands Muffin another apple slice after he ate the other one, he takes it and nozzles her finger before eating the apple.

"Aw!" She squeals.

"Seems like it." He laughs as Muffin licks his neck to get some apple juice off it.

"Well eat something before we head to cla-"

Suddenly there's a scream from the Slytherin table.

"Get it off! Get it off!" A girl runs out of the Great Hall.

"What the hell?" Ron asks before going back to eating his bacon.

"Hey um, have you guys seen Malfoy?" Harry then notices Draco Malfoy wasn't sitting next to his friends at the Slytherin table.

"No, I thought you would know." Hermione turns back to the table to face him.

"Why would I know?" Harry hands another apple slice to Muffin.

"Oh cause you are always staring at him." Ron smirks.

"N-no I do not!" Harry blushes.

"Oh Harry, you told us yourself you have a crush on him, so why try to deny it!" Hermione takes a sip of juice.

Harry hears a thud and looks at Muffin to see he was staring at him and had dropped the apple slice.

"Here buddy." Harry picks the apple slice up but Muffin jumps off his shoulder and runs out of the room. "Hey!"

"Mate just let him be, maybe he remembered something and had to go do it." Ron snickers as Harry bumps his shoulder.

"Maybe he got startled by something?" Hermione shrugs.

"Maybe..." Harry stares at the door before eating.

Harry sighs, today in potions, Snape took 15 points from Gryffindor today cause he messed up on a potion. He also noticed Draco wasn't there again today. Harry walks into the dorm and smiles.

"Hey Muffin, you came back tonight!" Harry drops his bag and scoops Muffin up. "I missed you today!"

Harry smiles as he hears Muffin purrs, he flops onto his back and holds Muffin into the air.

"Muffin would you like to take a bath with me again?" Harry burst out laughing as Muffin wiggles free and runs to hide under the pillow. "Ok I get it, but just don't get in trouble."

Harry walks out of the room after leaving his robe and bag. Muffin watches till he closes the door to ball up under the pillow and hide. A good whole fifteen minutes go by before Muffin hears someone call his name.

"Hey, MUFFIN, are you here?" Muffin looks out from under the pillow to see Pansy and Blaise.

"There he is!" Blaise smirks, he walks over and picks Muffin up.

"How've ya been?" Pansy asks.

"Hey Pansy, change MUFFIN back to his original form." Blaise grins evilly at Muffin.

"Can do~" She sings out.

Pansy pulls out her wand and points it at the struggling Muffin. Blaise sets him down on the bed and before he can get away, Pansy zaps him with a spell.

"Hey mate, welcome back!" Blaise smirks.

"Hello." Draco sits on the bed, naked.

"Sooooo! How was it sleeping with your crush?" Pansy asks staring down at him.

"Well Pansy, it was nice, and I found out a little something..." Draco looks away blushing.

"What did you find out?" Blaise sits on the bed next too him, neither of the other two caring he's naked.

"I found out, that um...H-Harry has a crush on me." Draco blushes as the other two gawk at him.

"WHAT!?" They both say.

"Yes, now you must leave, Harry will be back and he can't know you two were here." Draco stands up and pushes them towards the door.

"Can I at least turn you back, or do you want Harry to come and find you naked?" Pansy smirks once more.

"Fine, be quickly." Draco stands there holding his arms out.

"Wow nice view Draco." Pansy and Blaise both chuckle.

"Shut up and cast the spell Pansy-" Draco shrinks down to a ferret again.

"See ya MUFFIN." They both cackle as the walk out.

Stupid Pansy Parkinson, stupid Blaise Zabini, stupid frie-

"Oh Muffin, where are y- Oh there you are, you didn't get in trouble right?" Harry dries his wet hair.

Harry scoops Muffin up and sets him onto the bed.

"Did you miss me?" Harry pokes his belly and smiles. "I missed you."

Harry lays on the bed, Muffin on his chest. Harry smiles up at the fur ball, he for some reason has this feeling in his chest that he can't explain. Muffin leans down and touches his nose to Harry's.

"You know, you have really beautiful eyes, they remind me of Draco's." Harry's smile changes, it turns to one of dreaming.

His smile...

Muffin leans forward again and nuzzles up to Harry's cheek.

"I know it maybe to early, but Muffin-" Harry hold Muffin up. "I love you."

Muffin stares down at him, he starts to wiggle and falls onto Harry's face.

"MM-Muffin!" Harry laughs as he watches Muffin run and hide under his pillow.

"Hey mate, you ready for bed?" Ron walks in and smiles at him.

"Yeah, ready Muffin?" Harry takes his glasses off and set them on the night stand near his bed.

Muffin comes out from under the pillow and waits for Harry to get under the covers before he snuggle up to Harry's chest.

"Night."

"Night mate."
