Surrounded around the vast round golden table sat the elders of the four elements. the elders face covered by their large hooded cloaks. candles sat in multiple places on top of the table. the light reflecting off the faint blue walls. the window rattled, the wind outside was getting more powerful by the second. the rain streaming hard beating on the roof. the room was filled with the pitter-pattering of rain followed by a booming crack of thunder. the hush was broken by the elder of the element earth. "The storm has found its way. A sign. it is time for the choosing."
the others hummed in agreement. The elder of the water element raised his right hand. "bring them in." the young elf standing at the door simply nodded in return and made his way out the door. seconds later he returned with four others trailing behind him. the four made their way to the front of the room.
"we have chosen the element that shall travel to the world of the humans to retrieve the one we need to complete the sacrifice." spoke the elder of the element wind. the elder of the element deliberately rose to his feet.
"Fire has been chosen. Asura you will travel to the world that of the humans to seek for...the one."
Robert heaved a sigh as he walked down the sidewalk. it had been a long day. He recently got a job at a music store and lately more and more customers have been showing up. with his black shoulder bag containing all his belongings intact, he turned the corner leading to his apartment. it wasn't much but it was only him so it was fine. he walked up the stairs and down the hall towards his door. 6B. robert raised the flap on his bag and rummaged through in search of his keys. once found he unlocked his door and strolled in. Lazily he kicked off his black boots and drew his bag on the back of the couch. heading straight for the kitchen he was greeted by his tiny Shih Tzu, may.
she yapped around his feet as he opened the refrigerator door. "Looks like I need to go grocery shopping again. Right may?" in answer, the little dog brushed against his leg. walking out the kitchen he headed towards his room and plopped down on the mattress. robert started to feel sleep reach his eyes as they became heavy. he yawned and sept into a dream-like state.
Robert was woke by a loud crack of thunder echoing off his bedroom walls. may running around and barking from the startle. he rubbed the sleep from his eyes and sat up to look out the window. a storm? I don't remember hearing anything about a storm. he laid back down and closed his eyes once again. whatever. I'll just sleep through it.
