“Bye, bye school, I will not miss you!!!” Wei Kai shouts as he leaves the school gate after the end of middle school exams, Gu Xi An looks at him before slapping him hard on the bark, “oooow, why hit me” Wei Kai screams,

“To wake you up dumbass, this is just the beginning, there’s still high school, college and life,” Gu Xi An says and sighs loudly.

 “aaagghhhhhh, well, at least we get to enjoy this break, are you going anywhere for the holiday Xi An?” Kai asks while swinging an arm on Gu Xi An’s neck,

“I don’t know, mom said she’s got work and if I’d like it, I could go to my aunties place in the west for the holidays, it’s nice there but I’d rather just stay home, are you going somewhere ”

“Nope, am going to play so many games, sleep in as much as I can and I also want to go to the amusement park, we should go together, it will be fun” Wei Kai speaks in a loud enthusiastic voice, with a very wide smile, he walks forward and stops in front of his friend, “sooooo…” he asks

Gu Xi An is the opposite of Kai, he is reserved, does not like noisy places, does not have a lot of friends either, but he is also Wi Kai’s friend and he’d hate to let him down when he asked so politely, weeellll, according to their friendship that was polite. Xi An looks at Wei Kai and the says “I’ll think about it”

Their walk home was chaotic as Wei Kai is over the top talking about how to spend the long holiday, Xi An either approves or just laughs at his friends antics.

“Bye, see you later” Xi An says as he parts to enter their house driveway,

“Bye, I’ll text you when to go the park but for now, you’ve got to rest your little head, you’ve worked hard” Wei Kai shouts as he walks towards his own house.

Gu Xi An, the young master of the Gu family has an older sister who is 3 years older than him and is already in high school. The Gu family consists of 5 people, Gu baba, Gu mama, Gu su yi (Gu Xi An's elder sister), Gu xi an and Gu yeye (Gu grandfather, Gu baba’s father), as the youngest child of the Gu’s, Xi An is pampered and adored despite his distant personality, at home he is adorable through and through.

“I’m home” he announces while changing into his house slippers, “eh, xiao An is back, come here and tell me, how was it” Gu Yeye jumps up from the couch to welcome his grandson, “look at you, you look tired and too thin, you should eat more” Gu Yeye continues to have a chat with Xi An,

“Xiao An, you are back, go wash up and get ready for dinner,” the auntie who helps out at home says from the kitchen door,

Xi An says bye to his grandpa before going to his room and plopping on the bed with plop sound, he sighs loudly, he takes out his phone to check notifications,

He feels he’s eyes sting, ‘ I must be tired, I need to get some good sleep’ he mumbles to himself before walking to the closet to bring out a towel and some clean clothes, he takes his stuff, walks to the bathroom, after locking the door, he stares at himself in the mirror and sighs again ‘I’ve really lost some weight’ he mumbles to again, ‘Yeye is right, I Should eat some more’ not that he was fat or anything, he just looks smaller and thinner than usual.

He took a bath, changed his clothes and then went down for dinner, his father was out on a business trip and his mother was still at work, he ate his dinner with his Yeye and then went back to his room. He planned on reading a book before he went to bed but as soon as his head touched the pillow, he felt so tired that he just drifted to sleep.
