Tum Tum Tum (3 AM)... And how do I know? "Crawl... Crawl..." What are these birds crying for? Maybe for the moon...

Back to the question... I know it's 3 AM not because my smartphone told me 'go sleep now!' (Who the f* needs an alarm to remember what time to sleep?)

Back again to the main topic... It's the church... Yes, the church near my home always ring the bell during the full hour...

This sound, I hate it... But it's a story for another time...

Tum (for 1)... Tum Tum ( for 2)... And so on, you got the idea... But you're here to read a tale, not my non-sense babbling...

So come closer, now you're me, I'm you and we're here to enter people's life mysteries...

~~~
STRANGE TASTE
Act 1
Helena has a strange taste, soda for breakfast, nuggets for lunch and women for dinner. Having a taste for the same sex is still a sin in her family and every wrongdoing must be done at the dark.
She finished working at the cafe and walked straight to her favourite bar.
"There she is..."
While faking looking at her smartphone, her eyes were watching the waitress from across the street.
She was tall and chubby with black hair all the way to the top in a ponytail. She seemed so happy working with the clients that Helena envied them, but never had the courage to aproach.
Act 2
I have an admirer, to not say other things, my whole life I was watched and I consider myself average, but there's something mysterious in me that atracts people.
"Can't say I hate it... Maybe I can have a little fun..."
- Be right back, boss, gotta change this cash, rich customer tonight!
- Be fast, we're full!
She's nervous as she sees me walking in her direction, I love how sweet her hands trembles and how fast she goes to the toilet with her little steps and curvy hair in the air.
- Hey, Carlos, do you have some change? Rich people, right?
- Yeah, can't people pay with card? Let me check.
- So, who is that woman in the toilet?
Act 3
Mischievous woman are comum nowadays, Carol is no different, she has this strong vibe, it's impossible not to look and I think she found her next play.
- She comes here often, I think it's Helena. Quiet one... Just alone with her smartphone...
- Who isn't alone nowadays? Maybe she can enjoy some company.
- Here, your change...
And there she goes, crossing the street, but not before leaving a note in Helena's table.
Act 4
"Is she still there? Oh... God... Forgive me..."
TOC TOC TOC!
- I need to pee!
- Wait, wait... Sorry...
As I get out of the toilet... I notice the cashier looking at me. "Just stop, I hate it... Disgusting men looking down on me..."
But as soon as I got to my table, a sweet smile was inevitable... "Like a Raven watching from across the street, call me...? Maybe it's a prank... The woman I've been desiring actually... Calm down!"
I can only think straight at home... I pay the bill and look across the street and there she's smiling back.
"Should I call? Why is it so hard? WHY? Forgive me..."
Act 5
Two lost souls waiting for the next move, the night felt long even in this rapid bright city of São Paulo.
Helena got home.
Carol attended the last customer.
Carlos was closing the bar.
- Do you think she's going to call?
- Come on, she's shy, maybe you can just talk to her next time...
- What about the fun? You know the...
TRUM... TRUM... - The smartphone was synchronized with Carol's heart.
- There it is! Be gentle with her Carol...
- Of course I'll be... Who do you think I am?
Act 6
"What should I do? This messy hair! Is she really coming here? Shouldn't we have a 'normal date' before? Should I shave? What am I thinking!!!!"
But there's nothing normal about me, if I go out during the day, even worse, in a public place, I'll hate all the looks and judgment! All the...
TOC TOC TOC
"God... She is here... Forgive me..."
Act 7
- Helena, right?
- Yes... Please, come in...
- With pleasure...
Act 8
- GOD, PLEASE, FORGIVE ME!!!!
God was never called so loud as that night.
STRANGE TASTE - THE END
~~~

Do you hear that? "Tum... Crawl... Tum... Crawl... Chip... Chip..."

Oh... the sound of the morning is already here... The little birds are singing so beautifully that it annoys me... They sleept... I didn't...

I think it's time to rest... I'm talking nonsense again...

With love, Erica of the Dawn.

Erica, tell me a tale?
Erica, tell me a tale?

At some point in my journey I claimed myself as a writer because of some small poems I did as a nauty kid who was always locked in the bedroom to reflect upon small mistakes... And locked it remained till my fifthies when I started losing people to life... And not only people, but also myself... I'm geting old and not ready to say goodbye before telling something to someone... Anyone that would read and connect with me. I thought of writing a novel, too bold for my fragile ego, so let's start small, let's me start telling you a tale, a short story, just to warm up my frigid hands.

Welcome to my... My name is Erica... Welcome to my "Erica, tell me a tale?", a collection of short stories about mundane things in life.
