he empire Ilula was in chaos. Dark clouds are moving towards the people of the empire. The Iron Emperor is dying, the greatest general, the unifier, the person who united 10 kingdoms is dying without a successor, the greatest warrior who brought 100 years of peace. Sar'gen who lived over 200 years and fought thousands of battles is just mortal that could die.
The royal palace was extremely quiet in comparison. It was strange but expected because even on his deathbed Sar'gen was so feared that no one tried to approach his royal palace.
The long royal bedroom smelled of herbs and death, doctors and advisors were standing around the deathbed of the greatest emperor. The old man on the bed was looking powerful even with his pale sick face and messy grey hair.
- Leave me - Sar'gen moved his hand, and everyone immediately exited.
Sar'gen Asira was dying, but his mind was bright and sharp as ever. He lived long life and achieved his goal by united 10 kingdoms. Many would not remember anymore, but Sar'gen and his family had a noble cause to do so. The small kingdoms fought with each other all the time over territory, resources, power, money and just because... Everyone suffered, especially commoners.
Asira' was a noble, prominent family from Wheyla kingdom. Their family had a powerful martial technique. This secret martial art been passed down for generations. King of Wheyla feared their power and wrongly accused them in treason. Asira'clan managed to escape to the neighborhood kingdom in hopes to find new home. However, their new home used this as a reason to invade Wheyla kingdom. Sar'gen' family were forced to fight against their own friends from Wheyla.
The only small portion of Asira survived all these betrayals. They traveled far away to the end of the continent, to the most remote mountain kingdom Ilula, home to the winds, never-ending snow and the strongest warriors.
Sar'gen was born there, his dad, Jan'gen, was from Asira, and his mum was a warrior, boarder protector, wielder of the powerful magical artifact Heaven Spear of Thunder. He was born on the snow in the middle of the fight. Alkalala, his mum, dropped her newborn in the snow as soon as umbilical cord was cut to fight approaching bandits. He was her 11th child, born very premature, she had no expectations that the baby would survive . She fought a long fight against hundreds of bandits and when Alkalala returned to the place where newborn was left to bury his body, she saw winter tiger keeping his son alive and warm.
Winter tiger, Sar, was a God protector of Ilula' kingdom. Alkalala kneeled and accepted the message. The 11th child of hers was born with great mission, protected by Gods. He was named Sar'gen and was trained to be a general and lead army to accomplish the greatest mission to unite kingdoms under Ilula. Sar'gen loved his family, but Ilula was not a home where you can live peacefully. You have to fight against monsters, bandits, war and nature everyday. When Sar'gen turned 18, he had only 2 brothers and 7 sisters left alive out of 15 children that Alkalala gave birth to.
Jan'gen Asira was a sick man who fought too many battles during his early years and had too many wounds that could not be healed completely. However, he was lucky, because he met the love of his life Alkalala, who gave him family and protection. He rose to be the ruler of Ilula's kingdom with her help. Asira was the strongest martial arts user in all kingdoms. However, even their martial art could not protect them from continuous betrayal. Jan'gen lost almost everyone in his clan but after so many tragedies, he wanted not revenge but peace and prosperity for his family and people. His dream was to unite 10 kingdoms and stop never-ending internal disputes. Jan'gen and Alkalala passed their dream to their children, and most importantly, they raised Sar'gen to lead the army to victory.
The wars between neighborhood kingdoms became even more severe, thousands and thousands of people were escaping to Ilula from war and death just to die from cold and starvation there. Ilula could not feed so many refugees. This is how it all started the unification that was not seeking power it was the wish of Sar'gen's family to stop the countless wars.
Sar'gen opened his bright blue eyers and took a deep breath. All his body was aching and he was tired but he had no fear of death.
His only regret was that he was dying alone. Sar'gen closed his eyers again.
During all these years, he met countless princesses and princes to unify kingdom but none of these people made him feel at home or loved. Sar'gen was not sure if he was cursed to be alone or maybe punished for all these deaths that he caused.
All his brothers and sisters, all his close friends, generals who were by his side...all gone.
His only surviving sibling, oldest sister Jae'gen, chose different path, she become a healer, to achieve it, she took a vow with a Gods to never kill and harm. Some years ago Sar'gen visited Jae'gen trying to get her son to inherit the throne but he was rejected.
Sar'gen lost so many people around him during these years that life became a burden to him. Emperor lived for over 200 years for a reason. During his journey he collected magic artifacts from everywhere. All kingdoms that he conquered had magic artifacts in their treasuries. One of the artifacts gave him longevity. He had a mission to unite the kingdoms and stop useless wars and he needed time to accomplish it. He never thought that living for so long would be so miserable.
Sar'gen suddenly sat up and touched the bell, summoning his aid. A tall man came immediately.- Yes Emperor.
- Bring the black box to me.- Sar'gen pointed towards drawers in the left corner of the room.
His aid immediately returned with a box and placed it gently in front of Sar'gen. Inside the box was a huge round shaped jewel in stunning purple color. It was a magic artifact that Sar'gen found in the desert Kingdom of Maron.
Sar'gen took jewel from the box and handed it to his Aid.
- Asked Gamira to crushed it here with her heaven spear. - aid served his master for many many years and learn to not questions his master.
As soon as Gamira hit the jewel, room instantly exploded with a powerful light, blinding everyone.
-Omg What happening? - panicked everyone
-Do not scream...- Sar'gen' voice was as calm as ever.
Gamira moved closer to her emperor, wanted to protect but Sar'gen waved his hand again.
- All good, you can leave.
As soon as everyone left the room, the small beautiful creature emerged from crushed jewel. She could be described as a fairy but had a mermaid tail and stunning big dark blue eyes.
- You let me free...- she was surprised...-why?
Sar'gen smiled to her. Thinking about his long miserable life he remembered this jewel that he found in one of the treasuries. Maron kingdom queen Zahla deceived the small rainy fairy and imprisoned her in the cursed gemstone. It was cruel and unnecessary, fairy was a protector of desert Maron land for many centuries but people were greedy so they wanted more.
Cursed Gem used the fairy's power to provide insight into the future. Queen Zahla of Maron used this artifact to corrupt every other kingdoms and weaken them.
It was an extremely powerful artifact that Sar'gen obtained only at the end of his united journey by sacrificing a lot. In the beginning, due to its use, he was hateful towards the fairy who granted so much power to the evil Zahla and her kingdom but now he felt sorry towards the poor creature.
The only way to free her was to use Heaven Spear, another magic artifact. This story hit home for him, he also prolonged his life to protect people.- I think it would be enough. We have so many magic artifacts to control rain that your sacrifice is no longer needed. I am dying and I decided to free you so you can go and be with your people. Suddenly the room got bright again and another person entered it, appearing from nowhere.
The tall old man in golden and blue long-sleeved clothes, a stunning beauty with long purple hair emerging from rays of light. He worn a beautiful green crown on his head with familiar dark blue eyes.
- My daughter...I missed you so much.
He opened his arms and a small fairy jumped in it, smiling. It was a happy reunion and Sar'gen felt content.-What I can do for you? - The stranger turns to Sar'gen-I can extend your life but I would not be able to heal you..--No...-interrupted the guest Sar'gen,- it would be not needed...I already delayed death for so many years. I am ready to depart.
-I am the king of all magical creatures...I want to say thank you for letting my daughter go. Please state your wish.
Sar'gen closed his eyes, what the dying person wished for...to be healed, to be saved...nothing of it was needed for Sar'gen. Suddenly he remembered something.
- Omonor....The stranger gracefully nodded his head, he was indeed Omonor, the Magical King.
- I remember that somebody told me that you also can see the fated lovers.
-Oh...
-I lived long life but never been in love...I wanted to know if there was a person in this world whose fate was to be with me...-Sar'gen looked at Omonor with hope.
Omonor looked at this great man with mixed feelings. The greatest emperor who was born in the middle of the blood and snow, was destined to unify the kingdoms and stop the suffering of thousands of people. But now he just wanted to know if his destiny had a love in it or not.
Omonor touched the Sar'gen's forehead for a moment and stepped back.
- The reason that you never loved was that you were destined to love only once and only one person. You had a fated lover.
Sar'gen was very surprised, he even sat up from the shock. He was so sure that he was destined to live and die alone.
- However your fated lover died many years ago on the battlefield.
Sar'gen closed his eyes, of course, his destiny lover died. He fought countless battles and countless people died, no wonder that he ended up killing his fated lover directly or indirectly it was his fault. He was extremely ruthless when he was young, conquering and destroying everything and everyone.
- That's sad...- Can you tell me the name of this person if possible? - Sar'gen looked at Omonor again.
However Magical King was not looking at Sar'gen, his eyes were closed and he was silently moving back and forth like in trance.
Suddenly Omonor reached to his forehead again.
-...This is the answer to all questions...the destiny... it was fated for you to find this jewel and release my daughter...now I understand my calling in this life...and you need to understand yours...I will give you a chance to meet your fated lover...please remember that everything could be changed...it would be not a dream...make better decisions... decisions that you would not regret...so your love could be fulfilled....save us all and change the fate once again....change the evil fate...
The Omonor's voice became distant and everything faded away, the black hole consumed Sar'gen and he fainted.
