What... What is this?

I can hear sirens in the distance. My vision is a bit blurry... I can see a bright white light. A few silhouettes creep around me like vultures around a corpse. The voices are echoing in my head, so familiar, yet so... Confusing.

I try to move... I can't. Now that I notice, I can't even feel my body. I can only hear and watch in this fixed angle, like I am some kind of statue. How... How did I end up here? Can I even still remember something..? Now, don't be silly, me. I just need to focus... Right?

Oh, it was actually right. Let's see... I'm Shitsuji Kito, 35 years old. I was a... Firefighter! Yeah, I remember that. And... Oh. Now I see how I ended up here.

Part of a building collapsed during an operation that I was involved. My task? To enter the burning house and save the residents. Simple, right? Wrong. As soon as I had saved a little girl, covered in severe burns, the building collapsed on my head. Well, that's one way to go, I guess.

Now... What's happening? Am I still alive? It seems so, since I am at least partially conscious. But I am still trapped in this... Human shaped cage. If I at least had something to do while here, like... I don't know, watching anime or playing some video games. Yeah, I was a bit of an Otaku myself, but hey, that has been just a small part of my free time.

Now... This is strange. Let's suppose that I am not alive, but in fact, dead. Shouldn't this be like, an endless dark void, or a shining city above the clouds, or at least a hot as hell lake of fire? I don't know. That's one of the things that keep people awake at Night, what comes after. It could be even a shitty Isekai! Who knows. Anyway. How much time has passed?

Huh? Isn't it a little... Darker? Wait, so it is a dark void that awaits me after all? But that's unfair! What about my family and friends?! Let me back, please! What about my dog? Wait, I didn't have a dog... That's not the point!

It became darker and darker, until I couldn't even see nor hear anything... Except for a faint... Flatline. So... This is it, huh? I guess I'll float in here until I eventually stop thinking-

What was that? I suddently heard something that... Resembled a voice, I guess. Sure, it was like if a river could speak just by the sound of the stream, but still, like a voice. Can I even respond? Oh, no, I can't.

– [Follow me.]

I can't even see you, you little... Oh. OH. What in the world am I looking at here? The darkness retreated a bit from something that looks like a massive gate, and in front of it, there was this... Thing. If I could resume the figure that I was looking at, it would be: Wheels and Eyes. Lots of eyes. It was like a bunch of wheels, one inside the other, all covered with eyes of different colors and sizes, all looking at me. It stared at me for a bit, and I gazed back. I have to follow that?! Nope, nope, nope! I can't even move... Wait, why am I slowly retreating?

– [Be not afraid, we mean no harm.]

Yeah, say that by yourself, obviously I will be afraid, you freak of nature. Looks like I can move by thinking which direction I should go. Well, that solves the problem of movement. Now, should I follow this thing? It's not like there is another place in this eternal abyss that I can see or go besides the gate, that those Wheels are protecting. Fine, I'll go. I move in the direction of the Wheels, and those start to retreat a bit, the eyes still staring at me. As we moved towards the gate, the small crevice that was giving a small amount of light started to become larger.

The gates opened, and a huge flash of light showered me. If I had eyes, I would surely become blind now. But my vision rapidly adapted, which is a bit concerning, but convenient. We were inside the gates now, and it was... Beautiful. It was like a huge city, with a style similar to those found in the ancient middle east, but with some differences that made it look like a modern city. The streets were paved in pure gold, silver and platinum, with all kinds of trees and plants around, both that I recognize and that looked like something out of a dream. The houses were made of clean marble and quartz, with a bit of other rare crystals that gave all the residences and buildings a unique look.

The city, at least from my perspective, is massive. There are several buildings, streets and parks here, all populated by a variety of inhabitants. There were more human-like beings, that were the majority, at least from my perspective. Among them there was one or other unusual being, but I wasn't focused on them. Some animals were also here, with an incredible diversity. I saw common animals like dogs and cats, but there were also some other animals, I think extinct ones, like some small feathered dinosaurs. I think the name was... Velociraptor? The movies certainly were wrong about those. There was also a cute small crocodilian, with a short face, kind of like a pug, eating some of the small bushes in a small park. Well, in short, the city is big, beautiful and full of life.

– [Welcome... To New Jerusalem.]

The Wheels said. Not going to lie, that sounded like an introduction to a dream zoo, Mister (or should I say Mistress?) Wheels. New Jerusalem... Now that they said, this place kind of looks like Heaven. So am I in Heaven?! YA-HOO! At least I don't need to worry about eternal suffering!

– [Stay close to me. I'll get you to the Divine Court in the center of the city.]

Say what now? COURT?! Am I going to be judged? I guess that makes sense, but still! I was a good boy, I swear! I guess I can't celebrate too early. Speaking of the center, from the streets you can see an enormous, shining white building, standing majestically above everything and everyone. The light of the city seems to be generated there, it's like the building is this world's sun. From here I can't see much of the details of the building, but the lower half of it looks like a mix between a Mayan pyramid, a European cathedral and a Japanese temple. From the lower half of the building, I could see four giant walls connected, that cut through the city into the outer walls that had the gates located. Maybe the space between each wall is a district of some kind.

– [Be prepared now. The Judgement will begin.]

When the Wheels said that, I saw myself not on the streets, but behind a stone dais inside a huge Court Room, decorated with images of angels, crosses, fishes and stars, banners of several symbols and colors, ranging from white to golden and red, black or purple. The location I was is in the center of the Room, and right in front of the dais, there were four thrones arranged in a cross pattern: a huge white throne, that sparkled with a weak white glow, decorated with a six pointed star on the top and two lions on each side, was on the top. A medium golden throne, decorated with a silver cross, was on my left. A medium silver throne, decorated with two marble images of doves, was on my right. And at last, huge black and red throne, decorated with images of snakes on the sides and a five pointed star inside a circle on the top, rested on the bottom.

On the right side of each throne, there was a figure. On the top, there was a figure resembling a woman, with a big chest and nice curves. Her face and legs, however, were hidden behind two pairs of white wings, with a third middle pair of wings open behind her. On the right and left thrones, was a man, each hiding their faces with their white clothes and hoods. On the left, throne, the man had a "G" written on his chest. On the right, the man had an "R" on the same place. On the bottom throne, there was a... Concerning figure. It was a humanoid, that's for sure. His head was nothing more than a goat skull, his neck, hidden in black fur. Insect wings moved in his back, and his own hands and arms looked like they had an insect exoskeleton appearance. He had a tail similar to a lion tail, but covered in black fur, with the tip colored in red. The feet had the same black fur and was like the feet of a goat. The eyes were a fiery orange color, and they were looking directly to me. I don't have a body right now, so that made me extra scared. The Woman at the top flew a bit forward, and made an announcement:

– Now, shall the Divine Judgement begin! All hail the Holy Quadrinity!

As she retreated a bit, a blinding light descended from above into the thrones, and then I saw four figures sitting on the thrones. On the top throne, there was a shape of a man. He was dressed with white clothes with golden details, his face looked like living lightning, his eyes were like flaming spheres inside the lightning. His skin was like dark polished bronze, and behind him there were four wings, two made of fire and two made of lightning. On the left throne, there was another man. This man had hair like white wool, his eyes were flaming spheres, similar to the eyes of the one on the top. His skin had a similar tone, and wore similar clothes. On each hand and feet, there was a nail embedded in the middle of it, and on his head, there was a crown of thorns. On the left, there was a figure that looked like a white Dove, with several glowing yellow eyes along their body. The tail and head feathers were long and had golden tips, and their feet were gray in color. However, a moment later, the Dove became a very attractive girl, with an almost shining skin, white hair with golden tips, the two wings on the back and the same tail feathers. Her body was sensual, but her feet still resembled the feet of a Dove. On the bottom throne, appeared a seven headed red Dragon, with ten horns and seven crowns, one for each head. Four heads had two horns, two heads had one horn and one head didn't have horns at all. Each head had only one black eye with a red pupil, and below the necks of the heads, there was a black armor that had a pentagram symbol in the center. Like the Dove Girl, one moment later, the Dragon became a small girl with a devious expression, a similar skin tone to both the top and left men, straight black hair, two golden horns, wore black and red clothing and had a red snake tail, along with two black feathered wings on her back. All of them were sitting on their respective throne and all looked at me, each with a different expression. The one on the top stretched His arm above his "head", and began to talk. His voice didn't sound like a man, but like a crowd of people, several male and female voices spoke as He spoke. That was his voice.
