The figure in white did a slow,sensual twirl and tanghetto began to play in the spacious space of "Theatre du châtelet" in Paris.

It began with a moody,dark feeling then hypnotic,romantic before it became fiery.The dance was so intense that the audience were so tensed,some were shedding tears while smiling at the same time.

The song ends with the dancer last swing of her hand and a twist in her waist.There was a silence before a thunderous applause rang out and cheers rang loudly.The dancer bowed and walked slowly to the backstage while the light also went out before the spotlight shown on the MC.

"That was intense"She commented and the crowd murmurs in agreement.

The dancer in white is me.

Hi!..My name is Ava,a girl whose love for dance is impeccable.I have been dancing since I was eight and I'm twenty-five this year,that makes it seventeen years.But now dancing seems boring as that has been my whole life apart from going to the university where I studied dramatic art.

I just ended my last dance because I'm about to take a year break to have fun,travel to a strange place and have the best time of my life.

"Yo sweetie!".I heard a voice called out and I turned to see my childhood friend,Anna, walking towards me.

Me and Anna have been friends since we're toddlers,we grew up in an orphanage home and we both left to live together after reaching the legal age,she's my manager as she hates the art of dancing,that's what she says but I knew she just hate being sentimental.

"That dance was epic but it's just a pity that you had to take a break at this time of the year or you could have been the world best"She blabbers with her hand flinging furiously

"And I would never be able to have a fun time till I get old if I'm thinking that way"I said as I began undressing.

"Well,that is also true but it's just such a pity.Anyways,where do you say you're going for your holiday?"She asked.

"United States"

"That's good but make sure you are always in full defense,you know that place is full of odd balls"She said while running her hands through her soft curls.

"Yes ma'am"I said mockingly"But could you really stop being discriminating,is there no odd ball here in France?"

"Maybe but it's a country of peace,at least for us"She replied.

We packed up and took my car to our house.

It's been a week since my last dance in Paris and today is the day I'm leaving for the states.

"Are you sure you've packed everything you need?"Anna asked for the upteenth time since we reach the airport.

I rolled my eyes while pouting,"Could you please stop your nagging.I’ll be okay and there will be no problem whatsoever,just relax"

"And make sure you take your defense tools with you all the time,you know you have the kind of face most guy love and you're so soft,the dance you choose also doesn't help you,so soft and alluring,are you sure you're going to be okay or should I just follow you"She says again.

"Argggghh,what the hell,babe?Just relax,I'll be good".

Thankfully,the announcement saved me from her clutch and we hugged tightly before I made my way towards the boarding area.

I exhaled after sitting down in my seat while looking forward to the kind of life I'm going to have in the states,I can't wait.
