The tales of gods have been intricately embedded into the history of humanity since time immemorial.

From the Olympians of Greek mythology, that ruled the world atop their divine mountain and fornicated with mortals, to the Aesir and Vanir from Norse Mythology, that have inspired countless stories about their distant world. These legends have been recounted since ancient times.

In 2020, a war, like none before, ravaged humanity. No countries or region was spared, due to the immense power of modern weapons.

Humanity was on the brink of extinction, as modern society crumbled and chaos reigned, even in the most advanced countries.

However, on the dawn of humanity’s dusk, a miracle occurred. The God’s Pact.

Contrary to popular thought, the old legends of gods and goddesses were not mere stories. These so-called myths were in fact real.

Just when all hope seemed to be lost, a voice spoke to the totality of the world.

“Greetings, humanity!”

It was like a symphony of voices, as if hundreds of people were speaking at exactly the same time, in unison.

“We are what you call divine beings, gods and goddesses!”

There was a short pause.

“For thousands of years, we have left humanity to its own devices. However, time and time again, you have proven to be incapable of evolution.”

There was disappointment in the voices.

“Therefore, we will now return to this world. Albeit against our wishes, we will rule over humanity again.”

There was another pause.

“There will be major changes starting from today. First of all, all modern weaponry will be erased from existence.”

And thus, guns, grenades, missiles, tanks, nuclear bombs, and all other modern weapons ceased to exist.

“We will now offer two gifts to humanity.”

This was the day, the rules of the world changed.
