Holiest is founded on the idea of likening a severe mental breakdown to an Apocalypse, and it is heavily based upon the Hell of Dante, the characters of Milton, and a bastardized interpretation of the 'Revelation of John.'

Holiest is told in nine parts, updating bi-weekly with a brief lull between each major part. The update schedule is subject to change based upon interest and/or life events.

The parts are listed as 'cantos' as homage to Dante's Divine Comedy, from which most of the book's cosmos is inspired.
