Sun rays sprinkled through the yellow leaves dusting the unkempt grass with droplets of golden dew. Blue birds twittered sleepily as clouds drift through the sunrise creating shafts of pastel colored light. Freckles scattered over the bridge of her soft nose as her rosy cheeks hold a gentle smile. Her hazel eyes look upon her backyard with a doe-like wonder as the mists settles around the trunks of white aspens. Slight giggles fill the once silent air as soft steps pad into the moist dirt and her tracks press into the wildflowers below her. Warm streams of lights trickle through the newly budded leaves promising secrets to the young adventurer. The sound of rustling leaves lure her, calling her, inviting her forward. The sound of tinkling glass feathers over her ears. Deeper still, she steps lightly over the new grass buds, head up, eyes looking to the branches above as they seem to canopy over her. Her eyes twinkle as they glance over a dark brown wooden structure. Soft chimes resound through the air as a gasp leaves her small chest. Surrounded by white branches that weaved seamlessly with the boards was a small house dusted in a light covering of freshly fallen gold leaves. It seemed to float, suspended in a twilight air. She beams as her heart skips a beat, her hands find the branches, grasping in front of her as she pulls herself up to her new castle. Stained glass floods the room with light as colours overflow onto the floor, it seems for a moment, as though she was falling into a galaxy of star beams and galaxies. A softly excited laugh leaves her mouth, she had found a place to set her imagination free.
