“By the rulings of the law, you are sentenced to death” spoke the man reading the parchment. A man bounded in rope walked up the execution block. “You, Sir, (…….), will be beheaded for your crimes. Any last words?” Silence came from the man. “Nothing then.” In the coming storm, lightning crackled. The man awaiting his death was pushed into place by two guards. The man who announced the execution gave a confirming nod. Down came the axe; 'BANG'. The head tumbled along the ground. 'Rrrrrrrrrrrr' the thunder roared. Rain pelted down on that dark day.

“An eye for an eye, so a head for a head”

“Have you heard?” a villager asked. “That in that forest” he pointed it out. “There is a man with no head who you can only see at night.”

“Have you seen him?”

“No, I haven't, but could he exist?”

“Yes, someone saw him.”

“Really?”

“Really. They almost died.”
