YUKI’S NON-REALITY

I could feel him.

Despite knowing I wasn’t awake to reality, I could feel his body curled up around mine.My eyes were closed but they were open to the void in front of me. A dream of annihilation. But a dream that rose my curiosity nonetheless. Even though it felt like the void could consume my very being at any moment, I felt free. In the space of nothing and everything. Against the darkness, I sensed a vague existence. It spoke to me.

‘Live.’ It beseeched. ‘Live for the one dearest to your heart.’

“Who are you?” I inquired. It was the one and only question that ever escaped my lips in this otherworldly dream. Even if I tried to speak opposing it, it’s as if my brain fails me, reversing back into a vulnerable state of obedience. Dancing in the hand of a stranger, playing into their gimmick.

I can feel the voice of the anonymous speaker, but the words were but a whisper. I could not hear them, and thus, the void dilated into an existence of reality I recognised...

"Yuki?"
