***This story will be done in POV's - If you prefer it another way please comment, constructive criticism is also appreciated, just don't hate me!!
I had always been teased, picked on only days after I was born. I was discriminated against.
"Why does she have white hair?" A woman had said in disgust.
"Get that thing away from my son!" Another man would demand.
These were the direct words that had flown every so easily from my parents lips, their words forever dripping with venom.
When I was old enough to be apart from my mother, which in my parents case was pushed to a mere three months, I ended up being taken under the gentle wings of my grandmother.
She raised and loved me regardless of my looks, and ever since a young age she would always tell me, "fight for your dreams Symtiel, fight and never let them go."
A beautiful name my grandmother had chosen for me, since my parents didn't care either way, and I had long detested them.
My grandfather had died at a ripe age due to developing lung cancer. Although he knew his end would come for him much sooner, he puffed out the foul stench of chemicals, rotting teeth and gums while on his death bed. He died two and a half weeks before my mother was born. My grandmother however would always say that same saying to me with a smile on her face and a heart made of gold, and I carried it with me through all my years, I always fought for my dreams.
As I grew up and reached the age of 5, I had realized what all the commotion was about me. I was different, and I don't just mean I was a quiet kid who didn't cause trouble and wreak havoc, no, I always knew I was different. I would hear the howls of lonely wolves begging for forgiveness, and the streams would whistle my name to come and play.
I had asked my grandmother if we could go for a stroll down to see the carp in calm stream, she had told me, "my dear, the only river near us is more than a mile away, how could you possibly hear it?".
I had stopped questioning after that day.
My grandmother enrolled me in a school that was far from many major cities, I always wondered why but did not question it, I was five after all.
The first few days I was there, the other kids would come up and sniff me, I didn't have a clue why but I tried to ignore it to the best of my ability, back then I told myself ,"they must think I'm an alien or something." After all, I possessed white silky hair and pale luminous skin, my eyes glowed an icy blue and my lips a soft pink, even I questioned myself after seeing how different the other kids looked.
However, my childhood changed and crashed on my seventh birthday, I was in agony and couldn't believe the pain I was experiencing, as if a sudden bolt of lighting at struck me and coursed through my veins. I ran headfirst into the forest that was next to my grandmothers two story home, I didn't know why but it felt right, enticing me, as if to hush away the pain. It was there that I did my first...very embarrassing first shift. My shift into a pure white wolf.
