This story is based on my 4th-grade crush. I am in 7th grade now so around 3 years ago this happened. So we are just gonna call my crush Aaron and my best friend Elly even though these aren’t their real names we are just gonna use them for the story. I think I was about 9-10 and the guy was 10. Honestly looking back to my 4th-grade self I have no clue how I had a crush on him.  Back to the story. It was the day I was gonna ask him out. I was super excited to ask him out cause I was super shy and really couldn’t ask people out easily. It was either at recess or lunch I was planning to tell him. As it came to that time Aaron told me something that made me want to cry but don’t at the same time. He said to tell Elly that he had a crush on her. I was angry. I just wanted to burst into tears but it felt like I couldn't. I told Elly and she knew I had a crush on Aaron but still told Aaron that she liked him too. I just wanted to punch her so hard but I couldn’t because she was still my friend even though she was a backstabber. I told Elly crush she had a crush on him to get payback. Elly had no idea who did it and we honestly kinda forgot about it after then.
