There once was a boy who lived happily with his family.
For 16 years, he played the part of a good son, a good brother, a good friend, and a good student.
But on his 17th birthday, he lost everything he once knew.
He died.
Just to be reincarnated in a historical fantasy-like world as the first born son of a farmer family.
There, he learned to milk the cows, feed the animals, and harvest the crops.
He lived happily with his new family until one day, while he went out to town, a man appeared.
Dressed in a black cloak, face covered by a hood and mask, the figure approached the unexpecting family.
And killed them all.
When the boy came home smiling, ready to tell his parents of the beautiful girl he met, he was face to face with a tragedy.
The front door was wide open, blood splattered all over the house and through the corner of his eye, he saw the one thing he didn't want to see.
The body of his younger sister, laying face down in her pool of blood.
Quickly, he ran towards her. Slipping and sliding in the thick wet blood. He dropped to his knees and cried as he held his dead younger sister in his arms.

On the other side of the city, there was a noble girl. She ran as fast as she could, gasping for air. Finally, she was able to escape her lonely and painful solitude.
16 years. She endured for 16 years. Abused and neglected just because she was born differently.
For the first couple of years, she barely survived. Scravaging for food and shelter was difficult.
In her 3rd year of being free she wondered, is this what freedom really is? This life she became accustomed to was not any better than the life she knew previously.
Sure, she was hated by everyone in the dark and cold basement and only had 1 meal per day but... at least she still had something to eat, somewhere to sleep.
Just as she was about to give up, a cloaked figure appeared.
He reached out his hand to her, and in a gentle voice said,
"Follow me. If you wish to become something more, then I can help you. I can show you a whole new world."

Four years had passed since the death of his family, with no signs of the culprit to be found. Each day, he would train his body with a sword. If the law enforcers weren't catching the killer, he would.
The boy traversed the lands, sword at his hip, asking anyone nearby if they saw a hooded masked man.
On his journey, he met several people he would call his companions.
First, there was the girl he met on the day his family was brutally murdered. Next, was the elf girl he saved from her stalker. His final companion was the boy who he saved from human traffickers.
The 4 became inseparable.
As the 4 traveled from town to town, searching for the killer, they found their first clue in Luthos.
One clue led to another and in the end, they arrived in the capital city, Estana.
In a place where most nobles lived, they ignored the boy and his friends as they tried to gather information.
As frustration was starting to set in, a loud explosion could be heard.
The 4 ran to the source of the sound and in the middle of the chaos stood the man they were looking for.
As the boy swung his sword, another cloaked figure blocked his path. This figure was much smaller than him, but with their small stature, they were quick.
The battle commences as more explosions are heard all around the city. The boy's friends helped to evacuate the citizens as the boy tried to get to the man he had been looking for for the past 4 years.
Swoosh
The cloaked figure who blocked his path dodged his sword as it sliced through the air.
But they weren't quick enough because the sword managed to just knick the hood and it flew off.
Beautiful long luscious white hair flowed out of the fallen hood.
Before the eyes of the boy, was a beautiful girl who looked to be around his age.
He tried to convince her to stop, but the girl was too far gone.
In the end, his sword pierced her heart. The girl turned to her savior, the cloaked figure, and muttered a quiet, “I love you.” before the light in her eyes dimmed.
The boy heard a scoff, turning to see the hooded masked man laughing.
"Useless. After all the effort I put into training her. Guess her potential just wasn't enough." The deep voice scorned.
Enraged, the boy sets the girl down gently and swore he would not get justice for just his family, but the girl as well.
After a long battle, the boy defeats the man. Many died and many suffered, but the boy saved them from even worse casualties.
The boy receives a title of nobility once the royal family hears of his deeds.
He and his friends lived happily ever after.
This was the story of how a farmer's son became the hero of a world.

In a dim room, a book is snapped shut.
"Now that I’ve finished the first book, should I start with the second?"
