"The name's Nick," I say to the mirror, "Nickolai Luke Favaer. What's your name?"- I sigh again, looking into my own gray eyes for the tenth time in twenty minutes- "That's not right either..." Why can't it be easier? I just wanted to make sure that Drake Horner, my crush for the past eight years, knew that I existed. I hear a knock on my bedroom door. "What is it?" I ask as I brush my hands through my medium length dark brown hair that was only the slightest bit wavy.
"Nick, get your gay little ass out here and actually join the party for once." Isabel, my older sister, whispered through my door. The party she's talking about... Well, it was supposed to be a small party in my honor, but for some reason the whole school ended up here. My older sister is pretty popular, so it wasn't anything new, but a party for me to end up like this? Something was definitely up.
"Why should I?" I asked in defiance.
"Because Drake Horner is here and I know you just love him." Isabel whispered through the door. I sighed, took off the stupid scarf I stole and slammed the door open in Isabel's face.
"Where the hell is he?" I asked quietly as Isabel slammed the door close behind me.
"Downstairs and to the left of the dining room." Isabel said, "He's with a few of his buddies and watch out, someone got into Dad's wine cabinet." I mumbled a 'thanks' and rushed down the stairs. Fortunately and also unfortunately, no one noticed me, so I was able to get to Drake quickly.
"And he said 'fuck you, I'm not dead'." Brandon Elfling, one of Drake's 'buddies', said as I entered the dining room, causing everyone but Drake to laugh histerically. I walked up to Drake and tapped his shoulder, which caused him to look up at me, instead of looking at his phone.
"Drake, you probably don't know me..." I started, the nervousness starting to hit me, "But I... Uh... I l-like..."
"You like what?" Drake asked.
"I... Uh..." I said, "I l-like yo-..."
"You like yogurt?" Drake asked.
"No..." I said, "Y- you."
"Do I like yogurt?" Drake asked, raising an eyebrow.
"No..." I said, "I like you." Drake smiled.
"Oh, so you want to be in a relationship with me?" Drake asked, "Sure, who cares." I cried tears of joy and he didn't even notice, who says that guys can't cry? "Do you want to hang out tomorrow?" Drake said, "Around four and I'll take you out to dinner?"
"Sure, that would be amazing." I replied.
"Cool, see ya then." Drake said waving at me, making me think that it was a great time to leave and go back into my room.
