Just like any day, Aiko woke up from his dream in the morning, around the sunrise. But this was not just any day, it was his wedding day. He frowned at the thought of being forced to marry a near stranger.
He pampered himself as he looked in the mirror, he was a beautiful man. Surely so beautiful, you could not call him handsome. His brown eyes lit his entire face up like the moon on a quiet winter night. His shoulder-length brown hair was silk-like to the touch, and undoubtedly, marvelous in it’s health. His face was incredibly youthful, not a single wrinkle touched his forehead.
His flower spread clothing and robes gave off the oppression that he was a woman from behind, the only thing giving him away was his hair and height. His father, Lord Kanaka had given him a long white robe to wear to his wedding. It would be a small event given the circumstances of the quick marriage.
Momo Mali was the stepdaughter of a wealthy factory manager, Lord Yuka Mali. A great lord with no male heirs would be forced to pass it down through his child-in-law.
Aiko, being twenty-three, and Momo being twenty-one, would be expected to inherit Yuloka, a passed down maid-training company from Aiko’s father, as well as the various factories across the countryside.
Without more thoughts, Aiko threw his long white robes on, frustrated with the prospect of being married off like this. He hadn’t anticipated it to happen, since at seventeen, moving out of his father’s home, he had his fun in life. He was however, expected to attend to meetings and such in his own home, as his father followed the lead of Hua.
He opened the door of his room to enter into the rest of the house. It wasn’t a large home, but not exactly a small home either. Along the hallway on one side were five double doors, leading to the courtyard in the center of the home. And on the other side of the hallways, were six different rooms. The one on the farthest right was the kitchen, and the room beside that was a private dining room, the next was the sitting room, the next was a guest room, the next was a library, and the room after was Aiko’s small office.
