“What happened?” I questioned out loud, hoping someone noticed. Though, it seems everyone is ignoring me. Must be a pretty big deal. I went around the crowd and noticed a body surrounded by cops on the concrete. “Oh my god,” I gasped out loud. “Please do not cross the line,” a police officer commanded, pushing some people away. I inched forward, little by little, and somehow it seemed that the officers weren't really paying attention to me. I held my breath, crossed the line, and kept looking forward. I know I should listen. But something is pushing me forward. It's as if I need to see.
I've seen those clothes before.
“Female. Race Unknown. Around 5’4.” I heard the young detective announce as he looked at the body on scolding hot concrete- her head titled to the right side. Her navy blue suit was busted open; white blouse was wrinkling and untucked. Her navy trousers was missing a button. I looked at her feet and noticed she was barefooted.
“Victor! We got a pulse!” An officer cried out as he touched her neck.
“What the hell?” Victor yelled, he bend down and checked for himself “Get the paramedic over here!” People began rushing back and forth.
Victor glanced over the crowd and saw me; his face turned pale. I looked at the lady, and noticed why.
Of course I’ve seen those clothes before.
I put them on this morning.
