Jen sat in class. The usual. Jen felt like bursting. Unusual. She went to ask Mrs Popplecrump for the hall pass.
"Yes, child. You look white as a ghost! Go, go," said Mrs Popplecrump.
Jen ran down the hallway leading to the toilets. I don't want diarrhoea. I don't want diarrhoea, she thought. Please don't give me diarrhoea.
She slammed the cubicle door but didn't feel diarrhoea coming. Close one. Still, she felt that weird bursting feeling from nowhere. She got out of the cubicle and went to the mirror in front of the sinks.
Mrs Popplecrump was right. Jen did look like a ghost. Except she was more... human-ish. Jen really felt like she needed to push something out of her. She stood over the sink and switched on the tap. As she watched the water flow into the sink gracefully, the bursting feeling went away. She felt some kind of connection between her and the water. Curious, she reached for the water and felt it run through her hands. Closing her eyes, she felt peace. And dryness.
