In the Silence

first of all, i'm kind of deep

first of all, i'm kind of deep

Nov 02, 2018

Experience is something that comes with age. By that logic, I'm not very experienced. I can't even vote yet(only three or so years, though). But besides age, experience can come with everyday life, too.

Thought to thought, the flow is rapid. Get ready to switch feet. I think quickly.

Everyday life occurs everywhere, from the most wealthy government official to the person living in a dingy apartment on Fifth Street. Everyone wakes up and has a normal routine. Even if that's broken every once in a while by a new job or getting out of school for the summer, it quickly fades into normality. And I just realized that the last three sentences of this paragraph start with "E".

There's some sort of writing pattern developing, so I'll go with it. Interestingly enough, it's common among writers of things like this to be absolutely spontaneous with their paragraphs.

That phrase is weird. "Interestingly enough." It sounds like someone is a bit involved in something, but would drop it if they got a bit bored. It's temporary, isn't it, interest. There may be an interest, a long-term one, but I'm sure as hell not drawing for seven hours straight.

dunno about rea, though. Say hi if you're reading this lol

Guess that counts as a breaker. Hey, why is there a word count for things like essays in english(or literature) classes? It seems like a teacher just trying to get students to work. Thinking about it now, if the student gets a point across cohesively, they shouldn't have to aim for a page goal. If I'm ever a teacher, I'm never going to have a word-count essay for students' work. I'll give them a good grade if they can convince me of the point.

School is tiring. Can I go to bed now?

It's pretty fascinating how when teachers(and parents) tell students not to do something, they do it immediately and in defiance. Like saying "Don't touch that" to a fourth grader and watch them touch it. And probably reap the consequences if it was something worth telling them not to touch, though that's not much fun. Kind of satisfying seeing them discover why they were told not to touch it.

I asked a teacher what "fat" in Spanish once and she looked concerned, but then I told her I wanted to say it to my cat. I'll post pictures sometime.

I like candles. Like, really like them. I like the light they give off, it would be described as a glow, but also a shine, maybe. I just really like fire. Does that make me a pyromaniac? I don't support arson(what am I saying, "support"? it's a crime, dumb me). I don't support setting fire to anything unless it's in a safe environment and the person doing it is extremely careful. That said, I'll probably have some kind of fire pit when I'm an adult so I can melt crayons and stuff for crafts or whatever. I lit the end of a colored pencil once("once" as in like last year, not at eight years old or something) and got kind of anxious that I'd set something on fire accidentally, so I put it in the kitchen sink and then threw it away. What would I do with a burned, soggy pencil?

That was a long one. Maybe I should enthuse less about fire.

Speaking of pencils, those are the damnedest art material ever for me. Watercolor? Yeah, I can do that. Oil pastels? Sure, the texture is cool. I'll even work with crayons. But pencils never work- the lines are always too light and I can never figure out how to blend colors and make it look natural. That's not to say I don't use them, but it's not often. They're good for hair/fur textures, though.

When I get my wisdom teeth removed, I'm going to use it as an excuse to not talk to anybody. I'll just use a whiteboard or something.

I tried to write an actual book once. Multiple times, actually. I even had the idea to write diary entries for a year, edit it, and then publish that as some sort of slice-of-life dramatic teen book. I started and it didn't work out in the slightest. I made one entry on a Google Docs and forgot about it forever. Rip my high-school relatable adventure. I've attempted fantasy books(my favorite kind, I'm reading a series called Wings of Fire about dragons, it's really good), but I can never do that without it basically being a self-insert fanfiction. Welp, it might happen someday. For now, I have a future career in maybe art or animation.

I guess I'll end this part here. Dunno if I'll continue this series, it depends on how many people actually like it.

Not quite a diary... More like a sort of poetic attempt at a recollection of my(the author's) various experiences. My family, current events, life. It all comes full circle every once in a while. And then it begins again.
