As Chu Feng entered the gates of Ionia High School, he looked nervously around to see hordes of white children who were all scrolling through Snapchat on their iPhone 11s. He couldn't help but laugh a little as he thought about how their rich parents could afford to do anything while his parents worked day and night to support his learning. He went to go find his locker and prepare for the year that was to come. 

The first period was fine. Maths was basically a second language to Chu and he answered every question the teacher asked. But he also noticed the caucasian children's corneas glued his back, probably thinking of jokes to ridicule and mock him for being Asian at recess. However, he was an experienced Asian and instantly headed to the library at recess.

As he entered the library, he saw a group of Asian boys huddled around a table, and quietly chatting about homework and League of Legends. He could only smile as two of the boys argued over who was a better player. But as he looked to the other side of the library, he saw a lone Asian girl sitting by herself and diligently looking at a copy of 'Essential Mathematics-Year 10'. Chu almost fell over as he stood still because he thought his legs were turning to jelly. This girl was in her grade? No, he thought to himself as he walked over to the boys and made conversation with them. They introduced themselves and Jo, Dani, Mel and Das. They seemed friendly and instantly Chu felt as though he would be sticking with this friend group for a while.
