Hello, and welcome to Legend of Haruko. That sounded like I'm making a speech, I'm not making a speech.
For the past six months, I've toiled over this project night and day, working my hypothetical arrow off to make this series the best it can be.
This time last year, I wasn't planning on writing four full-length novels about a series I only got into this past spring. If you had told me then that a year from now, I'd be stressing about whether or not Opal Beifong will earn her airbender mastery tattoos, I'd say to you, "Opal? Like the rock?"
But time moves fast and my hyperfixation-motivated writing skills move faster, and thus, we are here. Probably helped that we're in the middle of a pandemic and I have nothing better to do.
I'll let you in on a little secret- Haruko wasn't always going to be the main one. Before it was a novel, before it had a plot, before any of this, I had the idea of two girls, one airbender and one earthbender, who would eventually become Koto and Haruko respectively. Since Koto was named first, I recognize her as my first avatar oc.
In short, it's been a long long while as I've developed this series, but it's finally here and I'm thrilled to share it with you.
