Main Characters

Shiori Misaki- Main Character, Grade Freshman. She is 14 years old and weighs about 95 lbs. She’s short for her age. She’s an African-Japanese descent. She has a cascading waterfall of tousled black locks streaming gently down her back. She is known for her soft dark brown eyes that she hides under pink glitter contacts that shimmered in the sunlight. She was born in Tokyo, Japan. Shiori was four years old when her mother was murdered. Her father has since remarried to a considerably wealthy person. Misaki is a huge nerd for old vintage American comics. She loves to read Marvel and DC comics. She likes to wear her school uniform.

Claire Hayashi- Shiori’s Best friend; Grade Freshman. She is 14 years old and weighs about 98 lbs. She’s very tall for her age. She’s a French descent. So, her short light brown hair and bright green eyes made her stand out. Born in the south of France, Claire and her family moved to Japan, last summer of 2069. She kept her first name and only changed her last name. So, before she moved her name was Claire Boucher. Due to this, she has the tendency to use French words when she is speaking Japanese.

Liam Alexandrov- Shiori’s Love Interest, Grade Sophomore. He’s 15 years old and weighs 110 lbs. He’s quite tall for his age. He’s a Russian descent. He has dark brown straight hair and sky-blue eyes. He was born in Moscow, Russia. Liam moved from Russia to Japan in late spring of 2070. He looks quite intimidating and Japanese boys tend to stay clear of him. He loves wearing his Japanese school uniform. His home life is quite different than most, his mother is lovable and his father is quite cold and distant. Nonetheless, he loves them equally and expresses it openly in Russian. He tends to be overprotective of Shiori. He is completely devoted to making her happy and keeping her safe. He kept his Russian name.

Daichi Sato- Liam’s Best friend, Grade Sophomore. He’s 15 years old and weighs 115 lbs. He’s tall for his age. He was born to a single mother, his father left when he was young. He was born in Okinawa, Japan. He loves his mother a lot. He is very attractive and he has a string of girlfriends but he wants Claire unbeknownst to her.

Minor Characters

Kenji Misaki- Shiori’s Father. He’s 35 years old. He was born in Tokyo, Japan. He’s a native of Japan. He and her late mother had Shiori in their early teens. He used to be a Professor at the academy. Later he was promoted to be the Dean. He is described as a very loving father. However, when he lost Hannah, he became increasingly depressed and slightly forgetful. Often, he forgets he is remarried.

Hannah Misaki- Shiori’s Late Mother. Not much is known about her except that she was described as a very loving mother and had worked in the law enforcement at the time, she was murdered. Only seen in flashbacks in Act Two.

Stephan and Helen Alexandrov- Liam’s parents. Stephan is Liam’s father and he is very cold and distant. Helen is Liam’s mother and she’s very loving and kind. Helen keeps Stephan in check.

Zoya Alexandrov- Liam’s little sister. Grade 5th. She is 10 years old and very carefree, generous and helpful. She idolizes her older brother.

Jacques and Nadine Boucher- Claire’s parents. They decided to keep their French names for many reasons. It’s easier and they don’t know Japanese nor will they bother to learn the language. They only speak French and have Claire translate for them what they say when Shiori is over at their house.

Tadashi Hayashi- Claire’s older brother. Grade Junior. He’s 16 years old. Little is known about him; except for his French name is Nicolas Boucher. He has a girlfriend back home and sends money back to her for their dream house.

Haruno Sato - Daichi's Mother. She’s very protective of Daichi. She clings on to the hope that Daichi’s father would come back. She likes to drink and fantasize about what Jin’s doing and who he’s with. She never understood why Jin left.

Jin Sato - Daichi's Absentee Father. He’s only seen in flashbacks or Haruno’s drunken dream induced state. The reason why he left is simple; he was cheating on Haruno and couldn’t bear to tell her.

Unnamed Woman- Jin’s Mistress.

Michika- created by Star Falls Inc. The Chief Designer is Kenchiro Misaki and the Chief Engineer is Todd Johnson. She was created for watching over Kenji and Hannah as kids. It was later in life that Todd and Kenchiro modified her to be their friend. Now she watches over Shiori. Michika mainly appears in the background. She isn’t formally introduced until Act Two.
