Looking through the Eyes

Shining in the Moonlight

Shining in the Moonlight

Aug 16, 2017

It was the shining moonlight reflecting in the eyes of the dying Alpha. He had his white fur smeared with blood from the shot wound. He laid on a smooth stone carved rock in the middle of the woods wedged between two mountains. The trees danced in the cold wind of the end of summer. Fall was vastly approaching. He barked a little howl hearing more of the gun shoots killing his people.

A large wolf caught the elder’s eye. He was young, powerful with sleek thin coat summer still. He was strong and arrogant look in his eye. He looked so young and proud but his eyes sadden. His body hunched seeing the Alpha, he lurked closer. Almost nervously sniffed the Alpha. His eyes met with the blood on the white fur and his eyes widened.

It reminded him of his mother’s blood and he recognized the wound it was the same as her death long ago. He growled his head moving around to see if the killer was in the area but his emotions took over one last final time.

He cried yipping and the older wolf pushed his head against his. Their eyes met tears streaming down their faces. There was some silent acknowledgement but both could not speak…there was a clicking of a gun. Before the younger wolf could spin around, it was too late.

BANG! The older wolf barked loudly before his head hit the surface of the rock with the blood pooling out with spilling brains.

The black wolf’s yellow eyes met with a man’s. A human’s he was much bigger than a human and he opened his mouth showing he was not afraid. He was just angry at this pest. Before the gun could shoot again the man was on the forest floor, dead. Being torn up and eaten out of the rage of the young wolf, in the light of the moon.

In the shining moonlight, the satyrs dance with the nymphs. In the moonlight there is peace between nations with centaurs saluting to the elves. The fairies always kissing the vampires cheeks and laughter throughout the merchants. There is no racism at these times, nor did tears shed in hatred of others. The humans and their darkness never here to intervene. This Oryran in its golden ages and we pray it will come again, come again, come again soon let the moon shine on us once more with no darkness of our evil desires.

That day on, Boron Shadow was the Alpha of the Shadow Pack with his father, the pack leader passing away in front of him. It was by the shotgun wound from the hands of a human. Already having his mother murdered brutally from humans he already struggled under the impression humans all of mankind was wicked.

As his hate grew he found himself, finding a human girl named Hannah. Someone he couldn't slay or her family confused why he couldn't.

This is Hannah's story not Boron's, a girl trapped in a new way of life and culture, one no human could possible survive. So the question that haunts her in her struggles, how did she survive a year of dealing with monsters? And were they monsters?
++++This story is not a romance or a usual one, I'm very realistic with things and especially with violence. This story does deal with abuse and trauma going throughout the book. ++++
