Cinder awoke, he gasped as he realised, he had woken up late. He had slept in his clothes, the rags he always wore. Cinder sat up quickly and stood up from the pile of hay that was his bed. He ran downstair and slid into the kitchen, trying to look busy as his step mum entered the room.
“Cinder?!” yelled his step mum, “you were supposed to be down an hour ago.” Cinder faced her and shivered.
“Why didn’t you wake me up then?” asked Cinder innocently. His step mum scrunched up her face.
“Don’t you dare talk back little boy,” Yelled his step mum, “get to work.” His step mum left the room, leaving Cinder as he sulkily cleaned dishes and fixed up the kitchen to perfection. After a while his two stepsisters, whom were one year younger than Cinder entered the room. They looked around the room cautiously then coming to a stop Infront of Cinder.
