A hard rain downpour hit the roof of a modern two story farmhouse as an alarm clock started to beep loudly to wake a Hispanic woman asleep in her bed. The lady reached out to turn off her alarm then sat up to rub her eyes and move her bangs out of her face.
The woman was Amy Sauveterre and she had long black hair, rich caramel skin tone and deep purple eyes. She slipped out of her large bed and stood up, showing she was just over six feet tall, to stretch. She grabbed her housecoat to put on and only paused to touch her necklace around her neck. The necklace was a simple silver long rectangle bar with a vial in the centre of it and in the vial was a green liquid.
“I miss you, love,” She whispered before raising the tag to her lips and kissing it. She fixed up her housecoat before leaving her bedroom and headed towards the main bathroom. She stopped in the hallway to see a door open to another bedroom, “Even in this weather she’s awake before me.”
Amy entered the bathroom to have a shower and got glanced in the mirror of her human form. Her thoughts trailed off about her human form, even though this has been her form for sixteen years it felt slightly jarring to her still.
The thin waist or wide hips wasn’t different from her true form but having only two arms, two eyes, lips, and large breasts. Her true form didn’t have these lump of flesh on her chest but they did make a lot of people flustered and unbalanced around her, giving her edge if she needed to deal with them.
She let out a sigh before slapping her cheeks gently, “Come on and get ready, Am'ae.” She hyped herself up before getting the shower started.
Amy walked out of her bedroom after getting dressed and styled her long hair into a ponytail that tied at the crown of her head. The clothing she picked today was a black tube top with black sheer long sleeve shirt over it, and a pair of light grey tight jeans.
As she walked down the stairs to the main floor she fiddled with the purple hair tie holding her hair up and heard the kitchen back door open and close. “Eris, sweetie?” Amy called out as she walked to the kitchen.
Once in the kitchen she could see the silhouette of her daughter running towards the prairie barn with a gambrel roof in the backyard. She raised a brow before her focus went to the kettle that was whistling and she spotted thermos with a tea box beside it.
“She knows me well.” Amy took the kettle off the oven top and poured the hot water in the thermos. She looked at the box Eris had picked out and smiled softly seeing it was chamomile tea bags. She dipped the tea bag in thermos to let it steep in the hot water.
The backdoor to the kitchen opened and Amy looked over her shoulder to see Eris entering the kitchen. “Morning, Mom.” Eris said as slipped off her boots.
There wasn’t any question about Eris being Amy’s daughter, they shared similar face structure and deep purple eyes. Though Amy was happy that Eris gained her father’s maroon red hair, muscle build and freckles going across her nose bridge. Her skin tone was sun kissed from often working outside and from wielding in the barn.
“Morning, Sweetie,” Amy said with a soft smile and turned around. “So why did you run out to the barn in this weather?”
“I set up a diagnosis on my car last night and it was finished this morning.” Eris explained as hung up her black leather coat that had an accent of blue leather on it.
Eris was wearing under her leather coat a white tank top that was over a black backless sport bra with cyan accents, black leather fingerless gloves and a pair of dark blue baggy carpenter jeans with oil stains on the thighs.
“Was there something wrong with it?” Amy asked for a set timer for her tea. Eris sat on a counter height chair and Amy moved behind Eris to gently run her fingers through Eris’ loose long hair.
“I thought I heard something wrong but the computer found nothing wrong.” Eris sighed as closed her eyes and relaxed as her mother started to work on her hair.
Amy enjoyed styling her daughter’s hair and probably why Eris always left it undone in the morning. It was a perfect bonding moment for them in the morning since neither of them needed to eat food in the morning.
“Maybe you should check with your eyes?” Amy suggested as she pulled the top of the crown section of Eris’ hair into a similar high ponytail as her.
“I may have to later,” Eris pulled out a simple hair tie from her pocket to hand to her mother and Amy used it to tie the ponytail. “But not today.”
“Alright,” Amy softly spoke as she started to make a horizontal braid lower part of the crown section of Eris’ hair. Once done with braid Amy touched the nape and felt the shaven down hair. “Does this need a touch up?”
“No, give another week or two maybe.” Eris shivered as she felt her mother’s painted black nails run down the nape of her neck. Amy was about to say something though before she could the alarm went off and she went to pull the tea bag out of the thermos.
Amy put the lid on the thermos before glancing at the clock on the oven, “You should head out now.” Amy noted as she tightened the thermos lid to make sure it didn’t come off.
“You're right, I’ll get the car.” Eris got up to put her jacket and boots back on and left out the back door, locking the door behind her. Amy headed to the mudroom at the front of the house and she sat down on a bench to put on her four inch heels.
Once she got her heels on she got up and grabbed a black trench coat to put on. Amy stepped out onto the front roof porch and locked the house up before waiting for Eris to drive up.
Amy stares out to surround their home, a small forest surrounds their home and the driveway leads to the main road. Amy’s eyes flicked to some movement in the forest edge and she spotted a white-tail doe and a few of its fawns walking through the forest.
The doe dashed away with her fawns following as Eris drove up to the front of the house. There was a gravel path way from the barn to the front of the house and Amy made her way to the passenger seat of Eris’ car.
Eris’ car was a red four door 1967 Chevrolet Impala with black race stripes or it looked like one. On the outside it looked like an Impala but the dashboard looked like a modern car, even more features that modern cars didn’t have too. The engine didn’t make any sound either as it was personally made by Eris and Amy only remembers Eris calling it a ‘perpetual’ engine.
“Drop me off at the F.C.P. main off,” Amy buckled up and placed her thermos in the cupholder between them. “I’m going to have a small visit with your aunt today.”
“Sure thing, Mom.” Eris said as started to drive down the driveway to head to the main road. Once on the road Eris clicked something on her steering wheel and caused Mötley Crüe’s ‘Kickstart My Heart’ to start playing over the car’s speakers.
Eris parked in front of the F.C.P. headquarters on the outskirts of Pyxis City and it looked like any other plain boring business building. It had many windows and a stone sign on the grass with the words ‘Financial Counting Project’ carved on it.
“Thank you, Sweetie.” Amy said as unbuckle her seatbelt and grabbed her thermos. “Try to have a good day at school.”
“See ya later, Mom,” Eris said before Amy got out of the car. Amy rushed into the building and Eris drove off as soon as her mother got into the building.
The front lobby of the building was almost empty white void and the only things in this void was a large curved receptionist desk counter, four receptionists behind the counter and a huge sign with F.C.P. behind them.
Amy walked up to one of the receptionists, “May I help you, Miss?” The receptionist asked and Amy put her thermos on the counter and next her right hand.
“Amy Sauveterre, here to visit Ava Jay,” Amy explained and the receptionist paused before clicking something on their computer. Amy could see her hand and thermos being scanned and when finished the receptionist smiled.
“Agent D will meet you on the main floor, and will escort you to Ava.” The receptionist explained by pressing a button making a hidden elevator door open up. “Hope you have a nice visit.”
“Thank you,” Amy said and picked up her thermos before heading to the elevator. Once Amy was in the center of the elevator the door closed and started to move downwards.
Amy opened up a tab on the top of her thermos and took a drink from it. ‘Financial Counting Project, is that really the best name they could come up with…’ Amy’s mind thought as the elevator ride was always long.
“Then again, they can’t use their real name yet, First Contact Police.” Amy whispered to herself and closed the tab on her thermos as the elevator door.
Once the doors opened up to reveal a large room that looked like an airport but all people in line or seats were aliens. While the staff behind the counters were mostly humans in black suits with red ties, Amy could pick out a few of them wearing shift stones to look human.
Amy stepped off the elevator. “Miss. Sauveterre?” A young man's voice asked from the left of her and Amy looked to see a man at least in his early twenties with short brown hair.
Amy paused before making a devilish smirk, “I don’t know, is there anyone else coming off the elevator?” Amy asked and gently ran her nail tips on the underside of Agent D’s chin.
Agent D became flushed and flustered, “N-No madame,” He stammered and Amy chuckled as gently moved her finger to the tip of his chin. “I-I-I-”
“What’s the matter, Agent D?” Amy flirted and her finger started to trail to his lips, “Aensi got your tongue?”
Amy was about to slip a finger into his mouth but he snapped out of it and took a step back from Amy’s finger. “Miss. Sauveterre, please follow me to the prisoner meeting room.” Agent D regained his composure and adjusted his tie.
Amy let out a small laugh from him regaining his composure, “Lead the way, Agent D.” Amy said before opening the tab on her thermos once more to get a drink.
