You win!
Meg lives to see this message on the computer screen, she started playing Ma-ges since the server was released, her brother Chris made an account, but he gave up playing it soon and let her use it, so she uses a boyish nick. The two have agreed that for her safety her brother is the one who uses the mic during the matches, she plays on his computer while he uses the portable consoles he likes better.
"Just one more game, Chris". Meg pleaded with her hands clasped and trying to make the face of the dog fall from the truck.
"Leave for tomorrow, I'm very sleepy. Or you play without a microphone. "He talks as if this is possible, playing without being able to communicate with the other players is horrible.
"You are boring." She complained crossing her arms but didn't move from the chair.
"See you tomorrow. " It's not like he cares what his little sister thinks, if she wants to play after midnight she'll have to do it without him, these are the rules.
Global server
Navegate001: Let's go another round, Chris?
JChris: Yes, but I'm without a mic, my parents went to sleep and I can't make noise.
Bomb2: Sucks dude.
JChris: You're going to have to carry this one.
Cloudfood: It seems.
"It's all your fault, if you had stayed up to use the microphone, it would have been easy."
Chris rolled his eyes tired, sometimes his sister's obsession irritates him.
"Not everything revolves around your little game, Meg."
She finished chewing the toast angrily to answer.
"I know, but the competition is coming and I will finally be able to participate because I'm on vacation. I want to see if I can get far enough and win a nice skin."
Chris had already turned off his sister's voice, when she starts talking about the things she wants to do he just gives up listening, it's true that he's the same way when it comes to portable games, but let's just say it's in the family. Meg always hid the fact that she's a girl, according to her, she'd never been able to play with good people unless she pretended to be a guy because only strange guys would invite her and other girls, but those are hard to find.
After breakfast, it's when Meg starts playing which means it's time for Chris to repeat everything she says to the team.
"You suck."
"WOW even my little sister thinks you are bad." He laughed as he played another game.
"Tell her to do better." The guys started to complain and he wanted to say that she is already doing, but he has to keep his mouth shut, if they find out that a girl is playing better than them, they will quit and leave her alone to lose.
"Why don't you do better?" Sometimes he gets very angry with some guy's attitude, that's why his sister has no friends online.
"You should join a team, you know, someone you can tell that you're a girl." He suggested when she finished taking the headset out. "You're good enough for that."
"Who knows, maybe when I win the tournament." She answered not paying much attention while looking for another match.
The worst part of the tournament is knowing he's going to need to keep the headset all day while his sister plays, but at least this is an online contest so she can participate without showing her face.
"Did you hear about Chaos Real?"
"I haven't."
"I sent you the link, it looks like they lost a player the official championship starts next month."
"My bad I didn't open chat." Chris stood to stand behind his sister as she opened the chat to see the news.
One of the most important players of Chaos Realm, who helped found the team, announced his departure claiming to have divergent opinions. So far the team's press office has made no statement, but several other teams have already shown interest in recruiting the player who was part of the Ma-ges champion team.
"What a novel." He remarked when he finished reading.
"Right? I hear he's going to create his own team to win over Chaos this year. "The boy seemed too happy with the news, and they say the girls are the gossips."
Meg continued to play, all players started in the F rank and according to the score they were leveling up and playing matches with people of the same level. It wasn't long before she got to level A and started playing with the same group of people, they sent friend requests in the game, but Meg prefers to be a lone wolf so it doesn't make much difference to her.
The surprise came at the end of the third match when a big beacon appeared on the screen stating that her team had been the tournament champion, no one had warned it was the final match but now there was a link to watch the match again and the players' names were put on the chat so everyone knew the champions. Meg jumped around the house and knocked over half the things on the way, he had to take off the headset so he wouldn't get deaf because of her teammate's screams and he got a flood of messages congratulating him on the win.
"You went really well, little sister, congratulations."
She threw herself on his bed with a smile on her face and they stayed there until she calmed down and decided to play more, but Chris preferred to go do other things and left her to play using the chat, which is impossible because of the amount of Congratulations messages. Even his cell vibrated endlessly with e-mails. Meg won not only the skin she wanted but also a sum of money to spend in the game.
The biggest surprise however, came a few days later.
