The night skies were brightened by the full moon, police cars were running to catch a criminal in their plain sight. The criminal tripped onto a rock by accident and fell to the concrete on his nose. His nose bled red as soon as the cops came just in time to put him in handcuffs.
Meanwhile, most of the innocents watched the whole thing on their television screens. The tv was playing in the background as a woman hums a song to herself, a song that she likes.
The woman, dressed like she’s in the 1950s, knocked on the unlocked door and walked into her daughter’s bedroom with a plate of chocolate-chip cookies held by both hands.
“Sweetie, I baked you and your friend some cookies!” She smiled charmingly when her daughter’s eyes brightened with joy.
“Cool! Some sweets to boost our imagination.” She beamed.
Closing the door, she turned around and set the plate of chocolate-chip cookies next to the made-up, game board looking sheet of paper. That “gameboard” is just a map that supposedly shows locations of Wonderland. Wonderland is where miracles happen all the time!
“So Rachel, what happens after Prince Darkness and Bright Bunny eat ice cream while walking around the beach?”
“Hmmm, I don’t know, Joel. Maybe you should come up with what happens next!”
Joel’s lightbulb pops up above his head, something that’ll spice up their imaginary adventures. Rachel knows when things are going to get good, thanks to her guts.
“I got a good one!” Said Joel, holding the doll who perfectly resembles Prince Darkness.
Despite attending high school, Rachel and Joel have whimsy imagination as their main heroes, Prince Darkness and Bright Bunny, go on adventures in Wonderland. The problem is that there are people willing to pull one of them out of their world.
