Maya was getting her little brother from his school. She just finished her school day herself. Simon was waiting for her at the entrance. “You ready to go?” she asked her brother. “Yes.” he said and held her hand tightly. Maya and Simon were very close, and Simon was practically glued to her side. She didn't mind, though. She strongly loved her brother and family in general.

“Are we going to get Amber?” Simon asked his sister. “No, she wanted to go home with one of her new friends.” she answered him. “Oh.” was all he said. He didn't have a strong relationship with Amber, but he really wanted to. Since they moved to their aunts a month ago, Amber has been disbanding herself from the other two. Maya understood that it was because of her new friends, and to be honest Amber was popular. She made friends very easily, and was surprisingly likable. And it didn't hurt that she is cute.

Amber was 12 years old, but looked older than what she was. Not by much, though. She had shoulder long blonde hair and light blue eyes. She was also quite taan. Simon looked a lot like Amber and he'd the same eye and hair color, and the tan skin. He was 8 years old. Maya, on the other hand, had dark brown long hair and dark blue eyes. She was really pale to and was the only one of them with freckles. Maya was the oldest, and was 16 years old.

When Maya and Simon came home aunt Petra was in the kitchen making dinner. She smiled at them while Simon was starting his homework. Maya talked with her aunt and helped Simon with his homework, and after an hour dinner was ready on the table.

“I’ll have to go on a business trip next week.” aunt Petra said. “Oh, where are you going?” Maya asked politely. She wasn't used to her aunt yet, because they haven't seen her so much before. “I’ll have to leave the country, but I was thinking, maybe I could take the Simon with me. It would be fun for him to meet his grandmother, don't you think?”she said. Maya thought for a while. “If he wants too. But that means me and Amber will be alone home right?”

“Not exactly. Amber has plans to stay with a friend so I'll only be you.”

“Oh, okay, that's fine.”

“I’ll be gone for two weeks max, so I'm giving you some money for food and a bit extra for other stuff you want to spend it on.”

“Okay, thanks.”

“Your welcome.”

The rest of the week went by slowly with the same exact schooldays and nothing interesting happened. Maya liked it that way. At school she didn't have a lot of people to be with, but she managed. Maya was painfully shy around new people, and this prevented her from making a lot of new friends. But she didn't think her shyness was something she needed to fix, she liked being an introvert.

When aunt Petra and Simon left on friday evening, and Amber had gone to her friend, Maya sat down and started reading a new book. She had her headphones on and listen to her favorite kpop songs. Maya could read for hours without stopping. She started reading at 5pm and now when she looked at her phone it was already 10pm. She was extremely hungry, so instead of making something she decided to order a pizza.

20 minutes later there was a knock at the door. Maya opened the door and took the pizza. The delivery guy hadn't said anything yet so she looked up at him. She was met with questioning and cunfusine eyes. “Um, how much?” Maya asked. Instead of answering the guy just turned on his heel and walked away. “Hey wait! Don't I have to pay?” she shouted after him. He turned around and looked at her for a while. “No, its in the house.” he said and continued walking. “Okay.” Maya muttered. Well that was weird, she thought.

Maya ate her pizza and watched more tv before she went to bed. She thought back to the weird delivery boy. Why didn't she have to pay? She was tired and it was late so she fell asleep fairly quick tonight.
