The young mermaid mused softly, her eyes not adjusted as she slowly came to. The last thing she remembered was that she was lost in a storm, being tossed and thrown with the might of the raging ocean... To her surprise she'd received a response:
"Garthram, a little fishing village on the coast of Armagh, Me and my little Brother found you on the shore of the beach just over there..."
Pointing into the distance, when she followed his finger she indeed saw the shore, along with a trail of where her tail dragged along the sand.
"...Initially we thought there was a kidnapping because of the way your arms and breasts were wrapped in seaweed... After cutting you free we noticed-"
"YOU CUT MY ARMS FREE!?
Nonononono!!!
W-wrap them back up!!! PLEASE!!!"
The mermaid squealed in a panicked frenzy, hyperventilating as she wildly looked to her freed arms, the men panicking as well as they rushed to get some bandages as they wrapped her arms back up together...
After calming down with the help of the local fishermen, she took a few deep breaths, snuggling into the soft and warm shirt she'd realized was enveloping her body before explaining her little outburst sullenly...
"When I was a young little girl my parents and I realized my arms would never work, so both for my safety and as a comfort, I've had them bound like that for my entire life...
'If you ever feel scared, alone or sad, just know that with your arms like this, you can always imagine us hugging you tight.' That's what my Parents always told me...
Even with my Parents gone, I have another family that took me in and they help me and take care of me. Whenever the seaweed rots or rips, they'd help put on new, fresher Kelp and Seaweeds."
The men would look to each other, hot blushes of embarrassment and regret plastered along their cheeks as they nodded, apologizing for scaring her. Realizing their actions may have been a bit hasty, after all mermaids like this were only of legends around the country of Armagh, they'd make sure to treat her like royalty for the rest of the time she'd stay with them.
