“Welcome to Misty Creeks! I hope you enjoy your stay and find plenty of adventure on your stay!” A cheery girl tilts her head to the side as she grins; taking in the pearl necklace hanging around a woman’s neck, the gold face watch around another man’s arm, the diamond earrings dangling from a little girl’s ears… Her focus not really on the guest she currently booked in.

Handing them their room keys she beckoned a porter to take their bags and lead them to their room. She was eagerly waiting to get to the couple behind them, who obviously appeared to be newly-weds. The lady adorned a white-gold ring with rubies flashing vibrantly in her eyes.

“Welcome!” She grinned greeting the couple.

“How may I be of service?” Her eyes taking in one last glance at the ring before taking note of the ruby earrings.

The night was strangely chilly for summer, but no one minded. Guests were gathering on the beach where a bonfire burned the frosty night away, music played and couples danced, it was a festive scene, if was paying attention to it… Lurking in the shadows s figure crept closer to the Hotel Mystique. The halls were silent with the lack of guests, it was all just too perfectly planned! Who would have thought so many would be lured to the local island night parties? EVERY TIME!!!

“Babe…” Hushed drunken giggles broke the silence in the hallway as the newly-wed couple left the party early.

“The things I’m gonna do to you…” The man said nipping on the lady’s ear, and more laughter filled the silence, throwing the door open to their room, all thoughts of making love out of the door…

Literally! They watched as a shrouded figure jumped off the balcony and disappeared into the night.
