Zeldre stands at the top of the mountain, his eyes fixed on the island below as he counts aloud. "14,397... 14,398... 14,399..."
As he reaches 14,400 seconds, the ground starts to rumble. Zeldre's eyes widen. "Rim! Hurry up! The island is changing again!"
Rim , near a cave, hears Zeldre and mutters, "Yeah, yeah, I hear you!"
Just then, a Lava serpent slithers out from the cave, hissing and crackling. Rim quickly kicks it away, sending it back into the cave with a fiery splash.
Rim dusts off his hands. "Nice try," he says. The ground shakes more violently, and cracks in the earth glow ominously.
As Rim runs up the mountain, the landscape morphs. Trees catch fire and turn to ash. The sky darkens as smoke rolls in.

Zeldre, watching from above, mutters, "Come on, Rim. Don't make me come down there."
Rim leaps over a chasm, the ground crumbling beneath him. He pushes on, determined to reach Zeldre.
When Rim finally reaches the top, the heat vanishes and is replaced by freezing cold. The ground turns icy, and a blizzard starts up, making it hard to see.
"Frozen Abyss," Zeldre says, recognizing the new environment. "Watch your step."
Rim looks out at the icy wasteland and spots the first monster of change . "Yeah, monster of change!" he exclaims as he sees a Frost Dragon soaring through the storm, its icy breath freezing everything.
The Frost Giants below stomp through the snow, shaking the ground with each step. Frost Wolves with glowing blue eyes prowl the area. Nearby, a Snowman starts to move, looking more menacing than cute. Ice Slimes slide through the snow, leaving trails of frozen goo. In the distance, a Snow Spirit flits around, its form glowing faintly.
Zeldre cuts in, "Yes, monsters of change. Let's get our winter clothes on."
Rim remembers something important. "Oh, we need to find Kurt. He's been lost for 8 hours."
Zeldre nods, "Yes, I know. Let's go."
Two hours later:
For nearly two hours, Rim and Zeldre have been tirelessly walking through the treacherous Frozen Abyss, the cold and unrelenting blizzard making each step more challenging than the last. However, their spirits lift when they finally spot a small hut at the island's edge. As they draw closer, they catch sight of Kurt inside, noticing that he has an expression of relief.
Staying within the safety of the hut, Rim gazes out at the ocean, his voice barely above the noise of the winds. "Hey guys, I'm sure there are a lot of islands and stuff outside. Why did we decide to stay here?"
Zeldre takes a moment to ponder before responding, "To be honest, there really is no reason for us to. It's just hard to leave."
Kurt interjects with a bit of frustration in his voice, "Yeah because the island changes every 4 hours. We can't build anything to leave. The last time we tried, it broke, caught on fire, got hit with acid, you name it. It's so frustrating."
Rim's frustration is palpable as he asserts, "We must find a way out, and fast. We just turned 16. I'm not gonna be stuck here forever wasting my life!"
Zeldre nods in agreement, his determination unwavering. "We need a plan. Staying here isn't an option."
The three of them gather closely, their determination rising as they huddle together, determined to come up with a solution to escape the ever-shifting island once and for all.
Zeldre: -nodding- "Alright, let's make sure we're prepared for whatever comes next."
