After a storm grants everyone caught within it superpowers, four vigilantes, Rose, Zarqa, Sauda, and Bai, are immersed in a town full of villains. Along with that villainy, our heroes must contend with the arising issues concerning their personal lives, their educations, the patriarchy, and each other.
The four main characters are students at a local women's college. Rose, an engineer who has only just escaped a very narrow, limited view of the world, and is now attempting to see things more open-mindedly. Zarqa, an artist attempting to atone for past mistakes and better herself, for both her own benefit and the approval of her distant father. Bai, a ballerina, whose difficult past has laid the path for an even more potentially difficult future. Finally, Sauda, a writer, whose medical and mental issues have gotten in the way of her life plans. All four have issues they need to resolve, and all four are working towards separate goals, while fighting together for a common cause.
