Wide shot of a quiet suburban town in the early morning rain. Sakura petals mix with raindrops on the wind. The streets are nearly empty. The sound of cicadas faintly hums in the background.
Narration
(Yuuji):
“They say you can never go back to the same place twice. Maybe... they’re
right.”
Close-up of Yuuji’s hand gripping the handle of a suitcase. His school uniform is slightly damp. His shoes splash gently in the puddles as he walks.
Narration
(Yuuji):
“Seven years is long enough to forget the way home. And just short enough to
remember what you wanted to forget.”
A distant view of the school gate. The bell has just rung. Students in uniforms walk in with umbrellas, chatting. One girl stares at Yuuji as he walks past.
Narration
(Yuuji):
“Same gate. Same uniform. Same sky... but it all feels like a dream someone
else had.”
Medium shot. Yuuji stops just before the classroom door. His name is on the seating chart posted outside. His fingers hover near the doorknob, hesitant.
Narration
(Yuuji):
“I wonder if anyone remembers me. Or if I’ve just become a ghost that used
to live here.”
Classroom interior. Students glance up as Yuuji enters. A faint murmur spreads. One desk remains empty. Kanae, sitting by the window, looks at him with unreadable eyes.
Narration
(Yuuji):
“And then I saw her... and I remembered everything I tried to forget.”
Close-up of Kanae’s eyes. Cold. Sharp. A storm behind them.
Narration
(Yuuji):
“Yeah... I really shouldn’t have come back.”
