More than a Broken Doll

Ch.1

Ch.1

Jan 18, 2018

Nori Ryo was struggling to get ready before his first class started. He had slept right through his alarm... Again. It was his second year of college, and he was either working or studying. Sleep was for the weak. It didn't help that he lived alone in a tiny dorm room. Maybe if he had a room mate, it wouldn't be his third time waking up with only five minutes to spare. The again he was socially awkward and disliked most people. It always ended with him being dragged into an uncomfortable situation.

Of course this made him sound boring, but some one drugged him the last time he went out with friends. Thankfully he had left before the effect kicked in, but still. You really can't trust people in a college.

Nori was the son of a Japanese man and an American woman. He guessed that made him a half Japanese but he didn't bother to look into his heritage much. Either way he was the unwanted son. His twin brother Nunzio was everything he wasn't. Nunzio had the trade mark blue eyes, was taller, and going to school to be a doctor. Apparently wanting to do something in the forensics field wasn't worth a single thought from his parents, though he always was the disappointment.

It started out with the way he looked when he was born. He had chocolate brown hair and eyes, which was apparently boring. Apparently his high grades were in all the wrong subjects. To top it all off, his brother was 5'10 at 20, while he was 5'8... Not that he was jealous or anything.

"Mr. Ryo, this is the third time you're late for class." The teacher sighed, as he walked in. He didn't even bother to check if it was him.... Well he was typically the only one this late. "There's barely twenty minutes left. See me after class."

Professor Maximum was nice.... He seemed to have a staring problem occasionally. Nori shouldn't have to harsh a punishment. It was almost impossible to get on the teachers bad side. Almost.

Nori quietly took his seat, and wrote down the ending notes. Maximum probably just wanted to make sure he had everything.

The last few minutes flew by, and the bell chimed.

"Professor Maximum?" Nori questioned as the class emptied out.

"Nori... You can't keep this up. This is your grade, if you fail this class you'll flunk out."

".... I know... Work has me so tied up at the moment." Nori sighed, rubbing the back of his head.

"I can understand. I was in your position when I was younger.... But all of the other students are coming in on time, even with jobs." Max noted.

"I know.... I'm really sorry. If there's anything I can go to keep from failing..."

"I'm not supposed to do this." Max said, standing up from his desk to meet Nori. "But you need the class time you're missing. If you can start meeting me after school at my house. Maybe we can work something out, and you can study."

Nori looked at the teacher confused. Couldn't they just do that during lunch break or something? Weren't there rules against this? Against his better judgment, Nori agreed. "Thank you. As you can tell, I don't do very well in this class as it is." Which was confusing. He was relatively good in literature.

"I'm glad I can help. Here is my address. Just come over when ever you have free time." Nori was the only student Max actually cared for. There was something about him. For some reason he reminded Max of someone. Nori was attractive, and bright. Max found that he constantly wanted his attention. Tonight he would have it with no distractions. Perhaps this would end with him talking Nori into an affair for now, and once he graduated, the two of the could have a real relationship.

"Right. I need to leave before I'm late to my next class. Thank you again professor." Nori waved as he left.

Max waved as well. Yes. Tonight would be a very interesting night. Once he got his hands on Nori, there would be a world of options. Maybe he could get him to go into the teaching field instead of the police field. That way they could work together, in a safer place, For some reason Nori was set on being in forensics. He even planned to get his doctorate. Max would be proud, if was not for the field itself.

_

Nori was already on the way to his professor's house after work. He didn't really care much for literature... Well reading was nice, but the way teachers over analyzed it, bothered him. Sometimes red curtains were just curtains. Sometimes and eggplant was an eggplant.

Professor Maximum lived in the most normal place possible. A subdivision with cookie-cutter houses. Although his house had no out side shrubbery, and the windows were covered by heavy curtains. There was also a lock on the outside craw-space for under the house. To be honest, this place gave him the creeps. He couldn't understand why. Something just felt off.

Nori was only able to ring the door bell once, before Max rushed to the door. Nori would have thought a thirty year old man would have so much stamina.

"Mr. Ryo. I thought you would be here much later. It's only 7 o'clock." The teacher said inviting Nori in. It was winter, so the sun was long gone already.

"My boss let me off early tonight, once I explained it to him. Don't think if will happen again though." Nori laughed taking a seat on the couch, while Max made coffee. At least that's what he assumed he was doing. Max instead came out with two glasses and a bottle of wine. "Umm professor. I'm under age."

"Yes. But you will be drinking with me. A responsible adult. Plus you seem nervous." Max had bought a special 200 dollar bottle for tonight.

Nori held the glass as if he was going to drink it, because he didn't want to seem rude. He knew this was a bad idea. Especially when Max sat way to close to him. No. Maybe it wasn't that close. Nori has personal space issues. It was fine. He was fine.

"Ok. We'll start on the chapter you missed last week, and go from there. Then I'll assign somethings to read over when you get the chance."

Nori caught on pretty quickly, and was rather happy with his progress. He still didn't know where he needed this in life though. As long as he didn't flunk out, he didn't care.

Maximum was making very subtle movements, as he attempted to get closer to the Nori. He hoped he didn't notice. Perhaps He wanted him closer. Nori could just be shy after all. That was probably the reason he was so bunched up on the arm of the couch. "Don't be so nervous, my dear Nori. I don't bite." Max chuckled, toying with a curl of hair next to the students ear.

"Woah. Ok what?" Nori asked, pretending to drop his pen, so he could get away from Max's touch.

"You just seem so jumpy. Here. Have some more wine." Max said, gesturing to the still full glass that belonged to Nori.

"I don't drink, sorry." ....That was a lie, but he did not trust any of this at the moment. He needed to find the right time to leave.

Maximum toped off the students glass anyway. It would only be a matter of time before he loosened up.

"So Nori. Why don't you tell me something about yourself. We don't really know much about each other. This work is so dull at the moment as well."

It was supposed to be that way to discourage creepy teachers! "Sure. You go first."

"Alright. My name is Maximum Novan. Most people call me Max. I'm 30 years old, and come from Washington. I love things of the literary nature so much, because of my adoptive mother."

"Right... Umm... My full name is Nori Ryo. I'm 20 years old and I was born in Washington as well." The last part wasn't uncommon since they lived in Annapolis Maryland. "My parents and twin brother are actually coming by tomorrow." They weren't, but he needed an excuse not to stay later on.

"Hmm? I try to see my parents often as well, but work always gets in the way."

"Heh. Yeah. I can relate... So are you seeing anyone right now?" Keep him talking about himself. It give Nori more time.

"Sadly no. I've had offers, but you could say I haven't found the right person yet."

That was kind of strange in itself. If Maximum wanted, he could have someone... of course if he was this creepy towards them, maybe not.

"What about you? Have you found someone?" Max asked. He was sure Nori hadn't. After all the Max knew more than he let on. He couldn't wait to prove that. To show Nori everything he could do for him. To him...

Nori laughed hesitantly. "Not at the moment."

"Really? That's surprising. I would think people would be all over you."

"Heh. Thank you, really. We should get back to studying."

Max scooted closer, and placed the book in the student's lap. "Of course. Why don't you read over this short passage." Once Nori was distracted enough, Max again started playing with his hair. They were now close enough, that Max could wrap his arm over the his shoulders. What made it better was Nori's nervous trembling.

"Professor, what the hell are you doing. I would really like you to stop." Nori said, pushing Max's hands away.

Max smirked and licked the side of Nori's neck.

"Fucking stop!" Nori shouted, and quickly got up to leave? Before he was even a foot away, Max had a hold of him.

"Stay a while. I think we can enjoy the rest of the night."

"Fuck! Let go of me! I'm going home!"

"Nori." Max said more sternly. "Sit down, and trust me. Even if it's just for tonight."

"Trust you?! You're a fucking sociopath!"

"Let me tell you the truth, my dear. I guess I've developed a crush on you , as someone younger might put it. You're so intelligent, meaningful. You have a purpose and you know it. I can never take my eyes off you. I have these beautiful pictures that keep me company when I don't have the chance to see you."

Nori froze. No. No. No. No. How did he get himself into this situation? He was supposed to know the signs of something like this! He wanted to be in forensics for fucks sake!

"Just let me go! I don't want to be a part of this!" Nori new his struggling was doing at least something. Max was having some difficulties holding him still.

"Your skin is so lovely, it's burning with heat. Let me touch you. You can beg me to stop at first, but then to keep going. Over and over again." Max pressed his lips to Nori's neck, breathing him in.

"No! Get off of me!" Nori shouted. Max was distracted enough for Nori to get a hold of the wine bottle. He swung it hitting Max's cheek bone. Even with the force, it did not shatter. Although it left a horrible bruise. Either way it freezes Nori, and he ran. The front door was so close, he could...

He couldn't. Maximum slammed him into the door so hard, his vision went fuzzy for a moment.

"Nori." Max said hugging him close. "You don't understand. You're mine. You always have been. There is no choice."

"No! Please! I just want to go home!" Nori didn't know if he was crying, but god he felt like it. The fight was completely taken from him during that last hit against the door. He kept trying. He had to.

Max cuffed an arm around Nori's throat and cut off his air supply. He knew how to avoid brain damage, as he would only hold him enough to calm him down.

In the end the few seconds were enough to knock Nori out cold, as he was already injured. His vision has gone black so quickly, he thought he had died.

_

Nori groaned rubbing his head. He felt as if someone had beat on him. Which they did... The room he was in was a solid white, without a single decoration. Only a bed and bath room. A rusty chain was bolted around Nori's ankle. He pulled at it desperately, hoping it would come lose.

"Ah you're finally a wake."

"Where am I?"

"My house of course. You see, I waited to long. The outside... it ruined you. I should have taken you the first time we met, but I didn't. I'm going to keep you here now. Your safe. " Max explained. "My dear, you're like a doll. Beautiful, perfect, almost immortal in a way. But you're broken. I can fix that. I can fix you."
